APC MEMBERS PROTEST AGAINST THE LIST OF EXECUTIVES PRESENTED FOR SWEARING-IN IN IKORODU NORTH LCDA. | Shakiru Seidu. "The list with Abiodun Iyiola is a forged document with scanned signatures," Chairman, Ikorodu North, reveals. "We'll reconcile the aggrieved members amicably," Party Chieftain, Ogunbela assures.
Some aggrieved members of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ikorodu North LCDA of Lagos State, today, brought to the notice of MegaXpression Magazine and other Newsmen on abnormalities in the list of LGA and Wards Exco.
The Chairman Ikorodu North LCDA, Hon. Olabisi Banjo, in his words while speaking with Shakiru Seidu of MegaXpression Magazine urged not to allow the minority on the mission to frustrate the success of the Party in the 2019 election and destabilised the well-organised structure of the Party.
Banjo said the leadership of Ikorodu North LCDA agreed to accommodate the two groups (TMG & JF) on both the LGA and Ward level. They therefore had peaceful election in all seven wards and winners were democratically elected under a free and fair manner on May 7.
“LGA list was drew up with the equal distribution arrangement of the posts and submitted to the congress Chairman in accordance with the directives of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in which both the final list of Wards and LGA were duely signed on May 7 and 14 respectively.
“It came to us as a surprise the list presented by Abiodun Iyiola, LGA Chairman, for the swearing in ceremony. And in order to put the record straight, I decided to meet with the State Chairman, Alhaji Tunde Balogun on the sudden changes.
"The Chairman immediately directed Chief Ologunde to confirm the genuineness of the list. It was there we got to know that the list with Iyiola Abiodun is obnoxious and fake with scanned signatures.
"The purported list is different from the list of other LGAs and Wards in Ikorodu Division which bears the signatures of two authorized person from Abuja." Hon. Banjo explained. "This is most undemocratic and unlawful,” he added.
While asking questions from one of the Apex leaders in Ikorodu North, Chief Ogunbela told Shakiru Seidu of MegaXpression Magazine that the crisis is the aftermath of Council election which the Party have been unable to bring the aggrieved members together.
He therefore assured that the leadership of the Party in Ikorodu North is not leaving any stone unturned to settle the rift amicably and to ensure every interest is considered.
