WOMEN WING OF AMBODE MANDATE SUPPORT GROUP, IKORODU DIVISION SENSITIZE POPULACE ON IMPORTANCE OF PVC, SEEK SUPPORTS FOR GOV. AMBODE’S SECOND TERM. | Shakiru Seidu.

Women wing of Ambode Mandate Support Group, A.M.S.G, a group that is said to be passionately supporting and mobilizing for the 2nd term aspiration of the performing Governor of the Center of Excellence, His Excellency,  Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, was on Wednesday assembled at Ferry Terminal, Ipakodo, Ikorodu to sensitize the residents of Ikorodu Division on collection of permanent voters card and support for Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode's second term bid.

The team was led by the State Director of AMSG, Hon. Akinyemi Obe and the first ladies of the Councils in Ikorodu Division, while the group was welcomed by the Executive Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, Mr Wasiu Adeshina, Chairman Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Comr. Olusesan Daini and Chairman Imota LCDA, Prince Wasiu Agoro.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the D.G, Hon. Akinyemi Obe reiterated the need for the residents of Ikorodu and Lagosians to come together to support Governor Ambode by getting their PVCs to vote the governor enmasse and continually enjoy the good governance that is evident in Lagos State. She also urged members of the A.M.S.G to sensitize their people that were yet to register for the PVC to go and do so without delay, so that they can secure for themselves the right to vote for the Governor and for continuity of sound governance in the State.

She explained fruther the modalities that will be used in the sensitization by the women, and also said the process will help in knowing how many members in the party, the population of Lagos State, and it will also help in the areas of health. She also reminded the people that the governor is in partnership with Dangote group on electricity and employment for Lagosians.

While urging all Ikorodu Division to embrace the group, and brace up for the challenges ahead, Mrs Akinyemi Obe officially presented Coordinators for the six local councils in Ikorodu Division to the teeming crowd and also challenged them to spread the campaign to the grassroots.

In his short remarks, as gathered by MegaXpression Magazine, Comr Olusesan Daini, Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, who his wife was unavoidably absent, emphasized the immense contributions of women in politics stating that the oneness among all will secure future for Ikorodu Division.

The event which was overwhelmingly attended by party women, non-politically affiliated women, Youths and Artisans in the local government area was finally brought to an end while the Vice Chairperson of Ikorodu Local Government, Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba gave the vote of thanks and thanked the Chairmen, first ladies, party leaders, Women leaders, and all well meaning party members for making the occasion a great success.
