APC NATIONAL CONVENTION PRODUCES NEW OFFICERS. | Shakiru Seidu. Governor Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State, Babajimi Benson, MHR, others, congratulate the new Executives.

The new national officers of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have emerged after the national convention of the party.

MegaXpression Magazine recalls that the ruling party conducted its national convention on Saturday, June 23, with Adams Oshiomole, a former governor of Edo State emerging as the National Chairman of the ruling party.

Similarly, Bolaji Abdullahi defeated popular blogger and publisher, Abubakar Sidiq Usman, to emerge the National Publicity Secretary of the ruling party.

Abdullahi polled a total of 2002 votes to defeat Abdul Sidiq, his closest opponent who garnered 243 votes to retain his position as the spokesman of the APC.

Also, Emma Ibediro, the preferred candidate of Rochas Okorocha, displaced Osita Izunaso, national organising secretary of the ruling party with over 1700 votes

Speaking before announcing the results, Governor of Jigawa and Chairman of the Convention, Badaru Abubakar, said despite “some skirmishes”, the process went well.

In his congratulatory note sent to MegaXpression Magazine, Hon. Babajimi Benson, Member House of Representatives, representing Ikorodu federal Constituency, Lagos State, congratulated the brand new APC  National EXCO and pray for their successful tenure.

"At this time of our party's drive to consolidate the delivery of service and democratic dividends to the generality of Nigerians, the onus lies on the newly  elected  Executives ably led by former governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole to pilot the party affairs appropriately and foster a new Nigeria that the people eagerly yearn for.
