The former Clerk of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Lagos East Senatorial seat Aspirant, Otunba Ganiyu Olusegun Abiru, popularly called GOA and the GOA Team for Senate 2019, Ikorodu chapter, on Thursday said it had concluded arrangements to organise a one-million-man march for the collection of permanent voters card in Ikorodu Division.
One of their coordinators, Dr. Fatai Abiodun-Abatan, popularly known as 'Baresi', disclosed this to Shakiru Seidu of MegaXpression Magazine. He said the march will take off at ferry terminal, Ipakodo on Saturday, 30th of June, 2018, by 7am on the dot. He urged all to put on white on blue jean and enjoined groups and associations to join the train to agitate for more collection of permanent voters card in Lagos State.
Baresi said the GOA Team for Senate 2019 would continue to promote the lofty ideas of Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode and President Muhamadu Buhari before Nigerians. He explained that the rally would show support for the re-election of Gov. Ambode and President Buhari in 2019.
Baresi also revealed that the duo had done credibly well in repositioning the State and the Country for socio-economic growth. He acknowledged their achievements in the areas of security, good governance and the fight against corruption.
Speaking with MegaXpression Magazine, Otunba Abiru said already, the organization had embarked on mass mobilisation residents in Ikorodu Division, to participate in the ongoing continuous voter registration.
“We will mobilise those who have registered but not collected their permanent voters’ cards to do so and ensure the emergence of credible candidates in 2019. We want to see every eligible resident participate in electoral processes during the forthcoming general elections," he explained.
Abiru also called on stakeholders of Lagos East Senatorial to support his ambition as their next representative at the upper Chamber in 2019.
