APC GUBERNATORIAL TICKET: SANWO-OLU THANKS LAGOS EAST SENATORIAL, SAYS HE'LL RUN A PARTICIPATORY GOVERNMENT. | Shakiru Seidu.

The flag bearer of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos State, for the 2019 governorship election, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has revealed that he'll run a participatory government and his administration would focus extensively on the development of the grassroots people and eradication of poverty if elected.

Sanwo-Olu made this known while speaking during his ‘Thank you visit to Lagos East Senatorial District leadership forum’ where he met with APC leaders in the senatorial district, at CMD Multipurpose Hall, Shangisha, Lagos.

He appreciated the leaders and more so, the Party members for coming out in large numbers to elect him. He also thanked Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Apex leadership body of Lagos APC for supporting his aspiration and working toward his emergence as the APC governorship candidate in Lagos State.

In the same vein, Sanwo-Olu thanked the party members for responding within such short notice to elect him at the recent governorship primary held across Lagos State, saying ‘I cannot thank you enough.’

He apologized for whatever shortcoming he may have displayed in the past and asked all party members to support the campaign, which he said must reach to millions of households. He urged all to bury any grievances, embrace one another and work towards the successful victory of APC. "Let's see ourselves as loyal," he added.

Also speaking at the event, were some of the Governor's Advisory Committee, GAC members, Chief Olorunfunmi Basorun, Sen. Anthony Adefuye and Alhaji Shakirudeen Seriki, who spoke one after the other to return all glory to God. They urged all members of APC to work assiduously for Sanwo-Olu and the success of the Party in the next year governorship election.

"I enjoin all to come together for the success of our great Party," Basorun said, while also advising the youth to make haste but slowly.

The event which was anchored by the Director of Media of BOSCO, Comr Olusesan Daini, also witnessed the presence of DG of BOSCO, Mr Tayo Ayinde, East Senatorial leader, Alhaji Bushura Alebiosu, APC East Senatorial Vice Chairman, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, former Assembly Speakers, Rt. Hon Jokotola Pelumi and Rt. Hon Adeyemi Ikuforiji, Director, planning and strategic of BOSCO, Hon Babajimi Benson, MHR, member, planning and strategic of BOSCO, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, members, LSHA, Hon Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka, Hon Tunde Buramoh and Hon Rotimi Abiru, Conference 57 Chairmen and Vice from East Senatorial, among others.
