APC HOUSE OF REPS PRIMARIES: FEMI GBAJABIAMILA, BABAJIMI BENSON, LANRE SANUSI, 21 OTHERS, EMERGE WINNERS IN LAGOS STATE. | Shakiru Seidu.
Twenty four (24) candidates were declared winners of the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary elections for House of Representatives in the 24 federal House of Reps of Lagos State.
Announcing the results, the Chairman Primary Election Committe, His Excellency, Mr Lucky Imasuen, and the Secretary, Barr. Chima Okafor, made this known to MegaXpression Magazine on Monday.
According to the results, Surulere 1 federal constituency, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila pulled 28,995 to clinch the victory. While his counterpart from Ikorodu federal constituency, Hon Babajimi Benson, scored 31,003. Benson, who has dear himself to the hearts of his constituents through his various uncommon achievements, gathered the overwhelming supports of the Party faithful.
In Amuwo-Odofin, Prince Lanre Sanusi, popularly called PLS, was able to surmount the huddles before clinching the Party ticket. PLS scored 3,411 to defeat his closest rivalry, Hon Mrs Adegeye.
Hon Kolawole Taiwo, left no stone unturned in Ajeromi federal constituency. The former Deputy Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, scored 11,569 votes to emerge winner. Same to Hon Ademorin Kuye, from Somolu federal constituency, who gathered 58,466 votes to emerge the Party Candidate.
Other successful APC candidates for the House of Reps in Lagos State were, Hon Adejare Samuel, Agege, Hon Femi Adebayo, Alimosho, Hon Egberongbe Adewale, Apapa, Hon Babatunde Hunpe, Badagry, Hon Wale Raji, Epe, Hon Ibrahim Obanikoro, Eti-Osa, Hon Ayeola AbdulKabir, Ibeju-Lekki, Hon Owolabi James, Ifako-Ijaye and Hon James Faleke for Ikeja.
Hon Rotimi Agunsoye, scaled through from Kosofe federal constituency, while Hon Jide Jimoh, Hon Yinka Durosimi and Hon Dolapo Badru, emerged winners at Lagos Mainland, Ojo and Lagos Island respectively.
In Lagos Island II, Hon Kayode Akiolu, picked the Party ticket. While Hon Taofeek Alli and Hon Bolaji Yusuf Ayinla emerged winners at Mushin I and II respectively. Also, Hon Arc Lanre Okunola, Hon Bashiru Daudu and Hon Ganiyu Johnson won Surulere II, Oshodi/Isolo I and Oshodi/Isolo II tickets respectively.
Speaking to Shakiru Seidu of MegaXpression magazine, shortly after the election, the APC winner of Ikorodu federal Constituency, Hon Babajimi Benson expressed joy and happiness over the love from his constituents. "I am overwhelmed with joy by the overflowing love and support shown to me by members of our great party by electing me as the party flag bearer for House of Representatives, Ikorodu Federal Constituency", Benson said.
