2019 GENERAL ELECTIONS: APC 'THE MANDATE MOVEMENT' DISCUSSES STRATEGIES, SETS TARGET TO GET 250,000 VOTES IN IKORODU DIVISION. | Shakiru Seidu. "You'll benefit from the Party's Victory," Asipa Kaoli Olusanya tells the aggrieved members.

In what may appear to be a fresh move at consolidating the All Progressives Congress (APC), ahead of 2019 general elections, a group under APC, called The Mandate Movement, TMM, in Ikorodu Division, under the leadership of Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, Chief Adenrele Olowu, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, Alhaji R.I. Jinodu, Chief Golden Jay, and hundreds of Party stakeholders from the group, on Friday, December 7, 2018, held their monthly meeting, at Kith and Kin School, Owode/Ibeshe, where discussions on how to further reconcile the aggrieved Party members and confidence building efforts among members were also discussed.

MegaXpression Magazine reports that, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, in his eloquent remarks, urged all to put an end to the lingering disagreements among Party members, aspirants and their supporters, saying the leadership of APC in Ikorodu has resolved to remain one indivisible entity. By that, the Apex meeting has resolved to be restored back to the house of the former Deputy Governor, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, at Solomade.

Kaoli further enjoined the aggrieved aspirants to bury their hatchets and do everything possible to win Ikorodu Division for APC come 2019 elections. "We must work together to ensure that the will of the people is not subverted", he added.

He narrated his past political experience after he failed to win as Councilor, Chairman, House of Assembly and how he benefitted from being loyal. He therefore appealed passionately to the aggrieved aspirants to learn from his political experience and allow the progress and development of Ikorodu Division override their personal ambitions.

He solicited for undiluted cooperation and to abide by the authority of the Party, urged the aspirants' followers to stop destroying the Party through the social media. "You'll benefit from the victory of the Party," he said to the aggrieved aspirants.

Asipa Kaoli, said in 2011, Ikorodu recorded 88,000 votes and took 7th position in Lagos State, which scored lower in 2015 by securing 52,000 votes and retained the 7th position again. He therefore revealed that the leadership of the Party in Ikorodu Division have determined to ensure that Ikorodu Division will secure minimum of 250,000 votes in the coming general elections. "This will no doubt increase the numbers of Commissioners' slots to Ikorodu Division.

Also speaking at the gathering, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, while responding to questions from MegaXpression Magazine, appealed to all Party members to work together to ensure that APC emerge victorious in the coming general elections in Ikorodu Division. Akinsola further thanked all the Party leaders for their commitment to the Party and prayed that all APC Candidates will emerge victorious in the coming elections.
