LAGOS 2019: SANWO-OLU PAYS HOMAGE TO ROYAL HEADS UNDER IKORODU DIVISION, REAFFIRMS TO RUN A LISTENING GOVERNMENT. | Shakiru Seidu

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship Candidate in Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu, was on Monday visited the Royal Heads under Ikorodu Division, to inform them before going round for campaign.

Sanwo-Olu reassured that when elected, his administration will run a listening government. He promised to run an accessible government, where the governor is reachable by every willing electorate. “Ours won’t be a government that will shut out the State by just sitting in the government house. We will be available, reachable and accessible to Lagosians, even when they live very far from Alausa”, he said.

Sanwo-Olu, who visited monarchs under Ikorodu Division with his running mate, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, argued that Ikorodu, like other party’s of the State has several opportunities, which when elected, intends to explore.

The APC Candidate noted that Lagos will leverage on its potential to improve its economic development. He added that Ikorodu has centers that could help drive the tourism in the State.

He assured the monarchs that their requests will be part of his administration infrastructural focal point. The gubernatorial candidate noted that the plan would make the generations yet to come to appreciate the efforts of those before them.

Sanwo-Olu asked for the prayer and support of Ikorodu Division to push Lagos to a greater height. He and his campaign team were given a massive welcome at the Palace of Ayangburen of Ikorodu.

Among those who received them were His Royal Majesties, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Mudashiru Ajibade Agoro, Ranodu of Imota, Oba Semiu Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Oba Aremu Sotonwa, Sekumade of Ipakodo, Oba AbdulAkeem Adeoriyomi Oyebo, Obateru of Egbin, Oba Richard Ogunsanya, Olubeshe of Ibeshe, traditional High Chiefs and league of Baales from Ikorodu Division.

Others are Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, former Deputy Governor, Chief Olorunfunmi Basorun, former SSG, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, APC East Senatorial Vice Chairman, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, former SA and acting Commissioner, Chief Adenrele Olowu, Prof. Ade Wahab, Otunba Ayodele Elesho, amongst others.

Hon Babajimi Benson, MHR, Hon SOB Agunbiade, ML, Hon Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka, the six Council Chairmen from Ikorodu Division, Councilors, Party faithfuls, were all in attendance.
