IGBOGBO/BAYEKU LCDA HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS' MEETING ON Y2019 BUDGET. | Shakiru Seidu. "We will pay more attention on Security and healthy Environment," Daini assures.

All roads were led to ICT Centre Igbogbo, on Thursday, December 13, 2018, where the Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Comrade Olusesan Daini and the entire management staff, had its Fisca Planning for the year 2019, which engaged the Stakeholders in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, to share views together on how to move the Council forward.

The Chairman addressed the gathering on their excellent performance on the Y2018 Budget and what they have in stock for the Y2019 Budget. He gave God all the Glory for His support till now and also thanked the State government for its fairness to Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA in the Y2018 Budget, through the inclusion of Ipakodo/Igbogbo road, Bola Ahmed Tinubu way and Igbe road Igbogbo.

According to Council Y2019 budget, Daini assured that his administration is poised to sustaining and improving development in the areas of healthy environment, Security, construction & rehabilitation of roads, education, skill acquisition & empowerment, Youth engagement and effective service delivery as their priority.

"In preparation for 2019 Budget; it is mandatory that the people opinion, input and contribution will be accorded high priority and not what we think that it should be.

"We are all aware that no meaningful development can be achieved in development without planning, budget and funding. In this regards, our administration is working relentlessly to increase our internally generated revenue (IGR) in other to balance with the needs of our people. Our revenue generation drive is formulated on the tripod of efficiency, transparency and accountability.

"As a government, the security of lives and properties of our people is of paramount importance to us. I want to specially thank the good people of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA and all our security agencies for their efforts in curbing the crime rat within the community. We thank God for the uprooting of Badoo menace threatening the peaceful atmosphere of our LCDA but we should not rest on our oars and sleep with our two eye closed.

"We have conceived and designed a great development plan in tune with the state government megacity master-plan for our dear LCDA. The development plan has been phased into short, medium and long terms for easy implementation and to an enviable position amongst others across the state and the nation at large.

"On the environment situation within the LCDA, it is importance to state this clearly before our enforcement unit star taking drastic action on canals and wetland. Furthermore, encroachment into the road will not be tolerated and we are using this medium to call those found wanting to adjust in line with established law.

"We will not tolerate the blocking of roads and parking of vehicles on the roads especially by trailers for whatever reason as this act further worsen the traffic congestion within the metropolis and total eradication of street trading. Congestion on our roads spurs us to give our existing markets a face-lift of complete modernization. We are calling on road transport union to emphasize the importance of traffic rules to members." Daini said.

He also revealed that his administration has tried to touch human life significantly through health, education, works and infrastructure, as well as environmental service. 

"On health sector for this year, we were able to achieve the following,

"Provision of additional building and upgrading of Bayeku PHC to complement the Agbele PHC that had been awarded for total reconstruction.

"Free medical outreach, free drugs and free wheel chairs

"Immunization programs – measles campaign, national immunization plus day (for polio immunization) Deworming of school children, maternal children.

"Free eye care services, over 300 eye screening & free eye glasses & eye drops for people 10 free eye surgeries.

"Free eye surgery and glasses in collaboration with Eye Foundation.

"Free breast cancer examination in collaboration with Heartwells Group and Wabio Foundation

"On education, reconstruction of Lajo Community Primary School

"Perimeter fencing of Methodist Primary School, Elepe

"Renovation and upgrading of ICT center to vocational institute

"Presentation of 80 units of GCE Form to the indigent

"Perimeter fencing of LG Primary School, Bayeku and other notable programs as the LCDA is called upon, as well we have never been found wanting in this area.

"On works and infrastructural development to my people, we've purchased of 2 mini buses to argument revenue

"Refurbishing of entire legislative building

"Palliative measure on Alternative route road at Odofin

"Production of Boundary Survey of the LCDA

"Renovation of Elepe Area office with furniture

"Ongoing construction of LCDA ultra-modern Administration block.

"On the part of environment services for the safety of our people because it is said that health is wealth and to keep our LCDA healthy, the environment services department has worked tirelessly to prevent epidemic.

"Distribution of waste bags to the people

"Clearing of black sport in the nooks and crannies of community

"Erection of sign boards to curb illegal dumping of refuse across the LCDA

"Establishment of pest control services

"Ensuring proper waste disposal services amongst other

"Prompt payment of PSP operator. 

"On a solid development strides for the Council secretariat, the council had just purchased tractor to corroborate the repaired grader for rapid action. And the proposed new ultra-modern secretariat building for the council has just commenced." Chairman Daini explained.

The HOD Environnent and Mr Oladejo Tajudeen, gave more analysis of the budget before the audience were engaged with series of views on how to move the Council forward.

Brilliant submission from the audience and the security Chiefs in attendance. According to them, they appealed for good governance and implored the Council to improve on logistics of the security operatives, healthy environment, grading of inner roads, amongst others. 

Justice was therefore done to all the questions from the audience by the Council Chairman, Comrade Olusesan Daini.

The Event had several prominent dignitaries in attendance, these include the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, HRM Oba (Barr.) Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali, Olubeshe of Ibeshe, HRM Oba Richard Ogunsanya, Adeboruwa-in-council led by High Chief Tajudeen Alade Onasanya, Origin of Igbogbo land, APC Chieftain, Chief Adenrele Olowu, APC Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Alhaji Sefiu Ogunyemi, first, second, third and fourth Council leaders,  Prince Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, Hon. Adegbenga Basanya, Hon. Taiwo Orenuga and Chief Bolanle Basorun.

Others are Hon Rotimi Olowonisaye, Imam Dhikirulahi Andu Tanimose, Chief Imam Igbogbo Central Mosque, Pastor Alokan, CAN President, Council Exco, Legislative Arm, Special Assistants, Management, and Staff of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA.

The DPO of Nigerian Police Ikorodu Division, Mr Ifeanyi Ohuruzo, Squadron Mopol 63 Commandant, Mr Sola Ogunwale. Other Security outfits include OPC, Onyabo, Agbekoyas, The Legion. CAN, NIREC, NURTW, CDC, CDAs, Artisans, Politicians, amongst others were in attendance.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family. During the meeting held at Osugbo Abalaye Shrine , where Lantan family were asked to pay fine of almost One million naira worth of sacrifice because of Mr Shakiru Sanni's misconduct, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali , emphasized that Shakiru Sanni's removal as Olumale Eluku was to safeguard the sanctity, culture, tradition, religion and prestige of Igbogbo
