IGBOGBO SETS TO CELEBRATE ITS CULTURAL VALUES, COMMENCES 31ST IGBOGBO DAY FESTIVAL NOVEMBER 22. It's a celebration of our identity, Igbogbo Monarch reveals.

Igbogbo Development Association, I.D.E.A, and members of 2019 Igbogbo Day Planning Committee, on Wednesday, met at Adeboruwa Palace, Igbogbo to perfect and solidify plans towards having a successful 31st Igbogbo Day festival. The President of IDEA, Dr. Tunde Ogunlaja, made this known while addressing HRM Oba AbdulSemiu  Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Chiefs and Baales. "We are ready and determined to make Igbogbo proud," he said. 

Ogunlaja further enjoined members of the Planning Committee not to leave any stone unturned. He assured the Monarch and Chiefs of historic celebration this year.

In the same vein, the Vice President of IDEA and Oluomo of Igbogbo Kingdom, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, affirmed to the Adeboruwa-in-Council that Association will do everything humanly possible in achieving laudable festival. "We are creating tools towards the task of achieving the goal of sustainable social-economic value in Igbogbo", she revealed.

The Publicity Director, Mr Tunde Okusanya, thereafter made the event programmes known to MegaXpression Correspondents.

The festival is scheduled as follows:

1. Friday, November 22, 2019.
*Iwure, at Adeboruwa Palace by 6am
*Press Conference at Oba J.O fatola's Pavilion by 11am.
* Jumat Service by 1pm
*Civil Service Day at Oba J.O fatola's Pavilion by 4pm

2. Saturday, November 23, 2019:
*Igbogbo day International Carnival at Adeboruwa's Palace, Igbogbo by 7am.

3. Sunday, November 24, 2019:
*Artists Day at Adeboruwa Palace Igbogbo by 2pm.
*Ram competition at Igbogbo Sports Stadium by 2pm.

4. Monday, November 25, 2019:
*Educational Day
*Symposium
*Drug abuse
*Final quiz and Debate at Adeboruwa Palace Igbogbo by 10am.

5. Tuesday, November 26, 2019:
* Free Blood Pressure Test at Adeboruwa Palace by 9am.

6. Wednesday November 27, 2019:
*Cervical screening at Oba J.O Fatola's Pavilion by 10am.
* Consultation, designated hospital by 10am
* Welfare for the aged at Adeboruwa Palace by 10am.
* Adeboruwa football final match at Igbogbo Sports Stadium by 2pm.

7. Thursday, November 28, 2019:
*Oloja, Artisans
Mini trade fair Day at Igbogbo Sports Stadium.
* Youth Empowerment, Youth gala night, Miss, Adeboruwa beauty pageant at Mikky Onas Hall by 4pm.

8. Saturday, November 30, 2019:
* 2019 Igbogbo Day of 31st Edition Grand finale, featuring musicians, final draws of raffle tickets at Igbogbo Sports Stadium by 9am.

9. Sunday, December 1, 2019:
*2019 Igbogbo celebration Christian thanksgiving service, at designated church by 10am.

HRM, Oba AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, in his royal remarks applauded the audacity and tenacity of Dr Tunde Ogunlaja, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola and Mr Gbenga Faniyi in galvanizing supports from all and sundry towards a smooth celebration. He enjoined all to work as a team towards sustaining an enviable socio-economic value. 

Also in attendance are the Chairman, Igbogbo Day Planning Committee, Mr Gbenga Faniyi, Dr Andu, Mr Ayodeji Shonubi, Hameed Aroyewun, Shakiru Seidu, Mrs Anibaba, Alhaji Surajudeen Kajola, amongst others.

Former Minister and GAC member, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe , has denied reports claiming he endorsed Hon.
