LAGOS EAST BYE-ELECTION: ABIRU PROMISES QUALITY REPRESENTATION, SAYS HE'S PASSIONATE ABOUT GIVING BACK TO SOCIETY. Oladejo, Olulade, Akinsola, Daini, others laud the choice of his candidacy.

Candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the October Lagos East Senatorial Bye-Election, Mr Tokunbo Mukhail Abiru, has assured the people of Lagos East of quality representation if elected as a Senator. He made this known while addressing the MegaXpression Community News and other community newsmen on Saturday, at his residence in Ikorodu, Lagos. 

"By training, I have my first degree in Economics and I am equally a Chartered Accountant with a work life of about thirty two years. I spent twenty nine years in the banking sector, and I am happy to say that I am one of the early board members of the Guarantee Trust Bank that we are all proud of today as a strong brand in Nigeria. 

"I am happy to say that during my service in the First Bank, I made up at the peak of my career as an Executive Director and equally during my stay, I had the privilege of serving Lagos State Government between 2011-2013 as the Commissioner for Finance under Gov. Babatunde Fashola, BRF.

"Now, I am embarking into public sector because, for me, governance is something you can later come to. But in private sector, if you miss any opportunity, you might not get it again, unlike the public sector which is a life long experience.

"Before coming to politics, I am someone who is passionate about the vulnerable people. When the pandemic started, my children and I discussed on how we impact on the people because the Covid-19 is going to come with all lots of sufferings. We contributed and we were able to touch eight thousand lifes in Ikorodu Division. This was not under any political structure. So, I am going to be for everybody," Abiru explained.

The spokesman of Lagos State APC, Mr Seye Oladejo, in his remarks said APC has presented a candidate with integrity and that can't be faulted by the opposition. "We have a candidate who have gotten to the pinnacle of his chosen career, politics or no politics, he has as a result of that national network which transept the banking industry and national politics. It's also extend to people who have been in national assembly since 1999. We have a candidate who can compete on the national pedestal and who will be able to champion those causes that are peculiar to the East Senatorial District.

The former Ag. Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, S.A on Housing and member, Seventh Assembly, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, Member Seventh and Eighth Assemblies, Hon. Segun Olulade, Publicity Director of Tokunbo Abiru Campaign Team and Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Bldr. Olusesan Mayokun Daini and the anchor man, Mr Opeyemi Agbaje, lauded the choice of Tokunbo Abiru, to be the best person to fill the East Senatorial vacant position at the Senate. They enjoined all electorates to choose wisely by voting for the Candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC in October 31.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
