LASPOTECH GOVERNING COUNCIL PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO IGBOGBO MONARCH, ASSURES OF ACHIEVING ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE. Engage my people in terms of entrepreneurship, Oba Kasali appeals.

The Lagos State Polytechnic Governing Council members were on Friday paid homage to HRM Oba (Barr.) AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom. The visit was said to seek for support and collaboration in taking Lagos State Polytechnic to a greater height, MegaXpression reports.

While addressing the Monarch and the rest of Adeboruwa- in-Council, the Chairman of the Governing Council, Professor Rasheed Kola Ojikutu, said they are working assiduously towards the renewal of Lagos State Polytechnic to University, imploring the Palace of the  Adeboruwa to stand by them in achieving the academic excellence.

"The Council want the community to feel the existence of Laspotech by giving seventy percent of the admission to the indigenes. We need your support, as the community will start to enjoy the entrepreneurship courses," Ojikutu said. 

"The Governing Council shall not leave any stone unturned and we'll be giving feedback on the positive impact and changes of the polytechnic," the Chairman added.

In his royal response, HRM Oba (Barr.) AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, expressed gladness about the visit and the improvement of the Governing Council, noting that the indigene are not left behind in the schedule of success of the institution. 

"I am impress with the administration of the Acting Rector, Mr Olumide Olusola Metilolu, for his determination towards the progress of the institution and Governing Council which has truly impacted in the progress of the school academic actualization," the Monarch said. 

"It's equally gladden my heart, the upgrading of the polytechnic to university, because that is what we have been asking for," Oba Kasali added. 

The King further appealed to the Governing council to engage the people of Igbogbo community in terms of entrepreneurship, in order to accelerate in the area of technical education, MegaXpression reports. 

"We are happy that the representatives of the council are ready to assist us in attaining our academic success and we are likewise glad to inform you that we are looking forward to work with you," the Monarch assured. 

Other notable personalities in attendance are Dr. (Mrs.) Awonuga Abiola Olawunmi, Member, Bldr. Saabi Olakunle Alaba, Member, Mr. Habeeb Aileru, Member, Aremo Segun Ogunlewe, Member, Mrs. Iyabo Kuteyi, Member, the Ag. Rector, Mr. Olumide Olusola Metilelu, the Bursary of the polytechnic, Mr Sakiru Adedona Bello, among other lecturers from Laspotech. 

The rest are the Odofin of Igbogbo kingdom, High Chief Tajudeen Alade Onasanya, Chief (Mrs) Jarinatu Alebiosu, Chief Yaya Agoro, Chief Jelili Oduntan, Chief Taiwo Kalejaiye, Chief Ganiu Owolabi, Chief Jelili Sanni, Chief Folorunso Disu.
