LAGOS EAST BYE-ELECTION: APC CONDUCTS PEACEFUL PRIMARY, VOTES TOKUNBO ABIRU AS PARTY'S FLAGBEARER. Party leaders, others applaud the choice of Tokunbo Abiru.

All Progressives Congress, APC, is leaving no stone unturned in the coming bye-election of the Lagos East Senatorial District, scheduled to hold on the 31st of October, 2020.


The Party today conducted a peaceful and well coordinated primary across the Lagos East Senatorial District to find a credible replacement for late Sen. Adebayo Osinowo, who died in May this year.


The sole aspirant in the primary election of APC, Mukhail Tokunbo Abiru, was massively voted for as the party's flagbearer in the Lagos East bye-election in October.


GAC members from Ikorodu, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye and Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, member House of Reps, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, Majority Leader, Hon. S.O.B Agunbiade, Member LSHA, Hon Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka, member seventh and eighth Assembly Hon. Segun Olulade, member Seventh Assembly and former Ag. Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Bldr. Olusesan Mayokun Daini, member of SUBEB, Otunba Saheed Ibikunle, amongst other party leaders, commended the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his uncommon leadership style and the choice of Tokunbo Abiru. 


They enjoined all to come out enmas on the 31st of October and cast their votes for APC, noting that Tokunbo Abiru will represent the interest of Lagos East Senatorial.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
