SENATOR ABIRU INSPECTS ALTERNATIVE GIRLS' SCHOOL IN IGBOGBO, PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR AROYEWUN'S SMART SCHOOL PROJECT. ...Hails First Lady Oluremi Tinubu’s intervention for girls and young women.


Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, has inspected the ongoing construction of the Alternative High School for Girls in Offin, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA of Lagos State.

The project, facilitated by Senator Abiru and sponsored through the Office of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, is designed to give girls and young women whose education was interrupted a second chance to learn, acquire practical skills and build a better future.

The Senator expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and the First Lady for bringing the important educational intervention to Igbogbo/ Baiyeku LCDA of Ikorodu, noting that the project would create lasting opportunities for beneficiaries within the community and beyond.

Currently at the foundation stage, Senator Abiru urged the host community to take ownership of the project and protect the facility. He also charged the contractor to ensure the delivery of a durable and quality structure.

During the inspection tour, Senator Abiru also visited the proposed three-storey, 30-classroom Zumratul Islamiyyah Smart Primary School Igbogbo, a major educational project of the administration of the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/ Baiyeku LCDA, Omo'ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun.

The Lagos East Senator commended Aroyewun for the initiative and promised that his SAIL Innovation Lab would partner with the LCDA on the Smart School upon its completion, with the aim of making it a world-class centre of learning and innovation.
The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Omo'ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, expressed appreciation to Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, for facilitating the important educational intervention. He praised the Lagos East Senator for his consistent support for the development of the LCDA and assured him of the council administration's full support and commitment towards ensuring the successful completion and maximum utilisation of the project.

Also, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, appreciated Senator Abiru for facilitating the landmark Alternative High School for Girls project. The revered monarch commended the Senator's sustained commitment to the development of Igbogbo Kingdom and reiterated the support of the traditional institution and the entire community towards the successful completion and sustainability of the project.
