Q- Good afternoon ma

A- Good afternoon Shekky bobo. (Laughing)

Q- My name is Shakiru Seidu, the Publisher of MegaXpression Magazine, please can we know you ma?

A- My names are Hon. Mrs. Ramotallahi Olanrewaju Akinola- Hassan, the executive Chairman of Oriade LCDA.

Q- What was Oriade LCDA like before you became the chairman ma?

A- You know everyday you have new things, when I came in as Chairman, there were lots of lapses, but I thank God today, when you come to Oriade today, you know we are really working.

Q- What have you done to improve the Local Government?

A- We have recorded many successes when we came in, we gave 350 GCE forms to our students, we did a culvert at Alebiosu road which is the link road when coming from the Waterside and there is traffic, so you go through the channel. Presently we are doing a palative work on a road here in Oriade which has a very big porthole, clearing of drainage, among others.

Q- What have you done to improve your IGR?

A- I was once a civil servant of this Local Government, then, we loaned the State government some funds from this local government through our IGR and now, we are working towards improving on that. We have inaugurated a Committee on this to work on the increase of our IGR.

Q- How have you in anyway favoured the youths and women in your LCDA in the past 100 days as the Chairman?

A- This week, we sponsored 10 youth for a seminar. We run government of inclusion, we involved women in all our activities in Oriade, everybody is being carried along in this administration.

Q- You did your 100days in office by organising a 4-day programme, today is the 1st day of free health service, what is the motive behind these?

A- Health is Wealth, we have alot of old people that needs serious medical attention, that is why we are giving 2 days of free health service. There is going to be another programme from the State "A week of free medical service", so we are starting our own next week for the benefit of Oriade LCDA.

Q- Concerning the attendance of today, how did you manage to get the crowd, is it just for the party or everybody?

A- No No No! All we're doing now is for everybody, we are not dealing with parties alone, it is general because everybody voted for us, it's not meant for APC members alone, it's for the general people of Oriade LCDA and we have to give them the dividend of democracy. They cannot link to the government directly but we as the grassroot government, we have to carry them along. We did not limit it to party.

Q- Can you state other programme lined for your 100 days in office?

A- The first two days is for the medical service, we also have a day for Skills and Empowerment programme. We train them on Agriculture, how to rare fish, chicken, turkey and so on and after the programme, we fund them to exercise the acquired skill, to start up the business, we also do poverty alleviation, we will train people on how to make snacks, we will give them money as well, we are also going to distribute free exercise books to all the primary schools in Oriade LCDA. On Thursday, 24th of November, we will commission an ICT library, it has been built long time ago but the structure had gone dilapidated and it doesn't befit Oriade LCDA. The contractor did bad job, so we reconstructed and renovated it and it will be commissioned on Thursday.

Q- What are you doing on security challenges of Oriade LCDA, most especially the riverine areas?

A- We're engaging the traditional security and the Nigeria Police, they are working actively in securing Oriade and the Riverine. So, Oriade is calm, Riverine is calm. I sincerely commend the security agencies for their good job, we had regular security meetings and we shall keep the momentum.

Q- Oriade LCDA had been experiencing bad and narrow roads, what is your administration doing on this?

A- We are in the raining season now, so we can't embark on much tarring of roads. This area is a swampy area, we are being surrounded by water, so we are trying to plead to the State government to come to our rescue.

Q- How is your relationship with your political appointees and Staff?

A- When I came today, you saw me the way I was treating my Staff, I'm a free minded person, I practice open door policy because I know I can't do it alone, there should be a team work if we want to achieve our goal in Oriade LCDA. So I'm very friendly with my civil servants and accommodating, we are one family here in Oriade LCDA.

Q- Good, any message for the residents of Oriade LCDA?

A- I want them to pay their taxes, we are using the tax payers money to rehabilitate the roads and to give them the dividend of democracy and as they continue to do so, they will really enjoy this administration.

Q- Thank you very much ma for sharing part of your precious time with us.

A- You are welcome.
