OFFICE OF THE CHAIRMAN OF CHAIRMEN (CONFERENCE 57), LAGOS STATE PRESS RELEASE –Friday,10th November 2017. COMMITMENT TO PARTY SUPREMACY, LEADERSHIP NON-NEGOTIABLE.

Rising from a strategic meeting today Friday 10th November 2017 presided over by the Conference 57 Chairman Hon Mrs Omolola Essien to discuss matters of urgent concern in our association and that of the State as a whole, members of Conference 57, the umbrella body for all Chairmen of 57 Local Governments and LCDAs in Lagos State, do hereby, among other matters, resolve and wish to bring to the public notice as follows:
We expresses our total and unquestionable loyalty to our party, the All Progressive Congress, especially to our national leader Asiwaju Bola  Ahmed Tinubu and absolute commitment to our amiable and dedicated Governor Mr Akinwunmi Ambode whose performance is yet to be compared to what is obtainable in other states.
We wish to reiterate again that in 2019 there is no vacancy in the State House and hereby express our strong desire to work tirelessly for the return of our performing Governor Mr Akinwunmi Ambode in 2019 for second term to enable him complete and consolidate the good works he has been doing across the State.
On the threshold of the above, we the Chairmen in 57 Local Governments and LCDAs hereby come out to maintain our stand, and as such declare that the party list comprising the appointments of the Secretaries to the Local Governments and Supervisors is sacrosanct and that the party decision is Supreme. We hereby resolve that all members of Conference 57 should expressly comply with the implementation of the list without further delay.

SENATOR OGUNLEWE DENIES ENDORSING GBOLAHAN OGUNLEYE FOR SECOND TERM.

Former Minister and GAC member, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe , has denied reports claiming he endorsed Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo for a second term bid to represent Ikorodu Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly. In a rejoinder issued on Thursday, Senator Ogunlewe described the publication circulating online as false and misleading, clarifying that Hon.
