DAINI AND MANAGEMENT STAFF OF IGBOGBO BAIYEKU LCDA CELEBRATE RETIREES.| Shakiru Seidu. I am satisfied with the performance of the Staff which has shown considerable dedication to duty, Daini revealed.
Thursday, 2nd of November is a date set aside to recognise, appreciate and celebrate the dedicated efforts of Civil Servants in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, who retired after years of selfless service to the Local Government Service Commission and Lagos state as a whole.
The Chairman of the Council, Comrade Olusesan Daini in his eloquent address, congratulated the Retirees, saying he is satisfied with the performance of the staff especially the management staff which has shown considerable dedication to duty.
He said his administration promise of prioritizing staff's welfare is being fulfilled and this occasion of celebrating the meritorious service of Retirees marks the beginning as he is aware that to get the best from the staff, they deserve to be given the best. He also enjoined other staff to be more committed to their duties as non chalant attitude will not be overlooked.
The Local Government Civil Service Commission's representative, Mr. Noibi Olumide who also attested to the fact that staff's welfare is a top priority of Lagos state government which was why there is arrangement for retirees to be honourably sent forth to recognize and appreciate their effort. He futher enjoined them to embrace a healthy lifestyle and invest wisely.
The event which was covered by MegaXpression Magazine, followed by a brief biography of all the retirees, showing history of their service life.
The NULGE Chairman, Comrade Kazeem Ogunmuyiwa gave a comment on each retiree saying that, “the occasion is a challenge to all to work hard towards retiring in an honourable fashion."
Retired H.R.O, Mrs. Abbas Sherifat was moved to tears while giving the appreciation speech on behalf of all the retirees. She therefore returned all the Glory to Almighty God.
After the cutting of the cake and snap shots session, all the retirees were presented with gifts as a token of gratitude.
Mrs. Olajumoke Christiana, H.O.D Environment, while giving the vote of thanks said, ”all the staff should strive towards leaving office reputably."
