As the demolition still continues in Igbogbo to pave way for the growth and development of Igbogbo community, the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon Babajimi Benson, representative of Ikorodu Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Nurudeen Sholaja, former SSG and member of Governor's Advisory Committee, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Comrade Olusesan Daini, High Chief Tajudeen Onasanya, Odofin of Igbogbo and Chief Jelili Oduntan, the Balogun of Igbogbo, today had another closed door meeting with His Royal Majesty, Oba AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, on the ongoing construction of Igbogbo / Bola Ahmed Tinubu / Igbe road.

When speaking with Shakiru Seidu of MegaXpression Magazine after the meeting, Hon Babajimi Benson, MHR, said, "We met on Kabiyesi's instance. We applauded Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode on the project; we spoke at length about the demolition and we empathise with the people whose properties were affected, but, we also looked at the bigger picture and the tremendous value the road will add to Igbogbo community."

The affected areas were the ancient town that preceded the amalgamation of Nigeria; so, we are also working assiduously underground to ensure that the compensation is adequate and promptly paid." Hon Babajimi Benson added.

"We're all happy and satisfied with the development going on in Igbogbo. Same is going on in Agege, Ishawo and Epe and there's no fight or protest anywhere; these are signs of maturity  and development." Hon Nurudeen Sholaja revealed this while answering questions from MegaXpression Magazine.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
