IGBOGBO ROAD CONSTRUCTION: OBA KASALI, STAKEHOLDERS SUPPORT THE GOVERNMENT, WADE IN, TO SENSITIZE OWNERS OF HOUSES MARKED FOR DEMOLITION. | Shakiru Seidu. The gain will outweigh the pain, while adequate compensation is sacrosanct, the leaders assured.

It is no longer news that Igbogbo Community has received the presence of Lagos State government which was not achieved on a platter of diamond. Prominent personalities, traditional and political leaders in Igbogbo Kingdom sacrificed their resources, energy and time to ensure the approval of the road project in order to open the community to a magnificent development. This laudable development had often time witnessed stiff opposition and repulsion resulting to inability to embark on the road project, but at last, the project is sacrosanct.

The Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, HRM Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, today, Friday, 8th of December, 2017, met with major stakeholders in the community to rub minds together on the road construction. The meeting which was held behind the closed door took place at the Adeboruwa Palace, Igbogbo.

The road construction will be of immense benefits to all and sundry. This is the time to pay the utmost price to pave way for rapid and aggressive development in Igbogbo community. Without any pain, there will never be a lasting gain; we all have to sacrifice something. These were the statements said by a duo and reputable leaders in Igbogbo community while being questioned by Shakiru Seidu of MegaXpression Magazine after the meeting.

A 4-man Committee which comprises Prince Adesegun Ogunlewe, Comrade Olusesan Daini, Engr. Oduntan Lateef and Hon. Gbenga Oshin, was setup to meet the government on prompt compensation including the Palace of Adeboruwa and to educate the affected House owners on the benefits of the road project.

When MegaXpression Magazine spoke with the owner of one of the affected houses, he said, It will be a great plus for the government of the day and the owners of the earmarked properties set to be demolished to pave way for a smooth work. He therefore urged the government to duly compensate them to avoid unwarranted casualty; government should not delay in doing the needful as soon as possible. This laudable road project is the victory for the people of Igbogbo Kingdom for enduring the deplorable road for years, he added.
