It was a day of reckoning in the history of Ikorodu North LCDA, as the Chairman of Ikorodu North, Hon Banjo Adeola Adebisi held its 1st Edition of Banjo Super Cup Football Competition, at the Adamo playing ground, Adamo, on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.

The competition was said to unite the people of Ikorodu North LCDA, so as to mentally improve the youths and the community. It's also aimed to bring friends, families and youths together, to ensure peaceful coexistence and preparing the youths for better lifestyle, MegaXpression Magazine garthered.

The Match which was officiated by of one of the highly respected Referees in Nigeria, Mr Kazeem Makinde, kicked off at exactly 4:00pm between Agbede Lion FC and Leaders FC, under a peaceful atmosphere.

It was a great encounter between the two teams in which the teams refused to score until 15minutes when Yemi Ogunbote of Leaders FC put the ball at the back of the net to record the first goal of the Match. All efforts made by the Agbede Lion FC to level the score proves abortive as the first half ended in 1-0 in favour of Leaders FC.

However, the second half was more interesting as the Agbede Lion FC refused to bow to Leaders FC. In the 85minutes, Oloye Felix of Leaders FC increased the score line through a superlative strike to make it 2-0. It was a game of luck, as Agbede Lion FC wasted a lot of scoring chances. The Match finally ended 2-0 in favour of Leaders FC.

Immediately after the final whistle, Medals and Trophy were presented one after the other. The winner of the competition, Leaders FC, went home with N150,000, while the second position, Agbede Lion FC, got themselves N100,000. The 3rd position, Megida FC, also went home with N50,000 while the Most valuable player, Salaudeen Kehinde of Agbede FC and Highest goals scorer, Moruf Ganiu of Leaders FC were both rewarded.
