SKILLS ACQUISITION: AYO ADEKOYA GRADUATES 30 YOUTHS, GIVES ITEMS TO AGED OF WARDS B3, IKORODU NORTH LCDA. | Shakiru Seidu.
The Councilor, representing Ward B3, in Ikorodu North LCDA, Hon. Adekoya Ayo Abiodun, has enjoined participants at her Skill Acquisition Scheme, to use the knowledge acquired to establish themselves.
Hon. Ayo who made the call at the graduation ceremony of 30 youth who trained under the scheme she initiated as part of her efforts to make the youths in Ward B3 of Isiwu.
Addressing the graduating students at the programme and giving out food items to the aged, Hon Adekoya said the idea was to develop our youth and secure their future. The Lawmaker stressed that skills acquisition had remained an essential means of empowering people, hence the need to build on the participants will in turn train others.
Hon Adekoya who is the Leader, Ikorodu North LCDA Legislative Arm, said the scheme was in line with her campaign promises, emphasizing the need for the 30 participants to put in their best on their area of specialisation which meant to uplift their lives.
"During the course of my campaign before election, my promises to the people include the following:
"Youth and Women empowerment.
"Adequate care for the aged and widows.
"Support to party members and citizens.
"To facilitate development to my area.
"To support the Chairman to succeed," She explained.
The Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA, Hon. Banjo Adeola Adebisi Banjo, commended Hon. Ayo Adekoya for her quality representation to the people of Ward B3.
Others who spoke also passed vote of confidence on Hon Ago Adekoya for her contributions to the human capital and infrastructural development of Ikorodu North LCDA.
