JIDE SANWO-OLU SETS TO OFFICIALLY DECLARE INTENTION, SAYS HE'LL RUN A LISTENING GOVERNMENT. | Shakiru Seidu.

Less than two weeks to the APC primaries election, aspirants are not leaving any stone unturned to woo the party faithfuls.

In Lagos State, Mr Jide Sanwo-Olu, a 53years old man and one of the aspirants vying for the governorship position on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), today at Watercress Hotel in Ikeja, addressed MegaXpression Magazine and other media outlets on his official declaration scheduled to take place at City Hall, Lagos. Sunday, September 16, by 2.30pm.

In his statement, Sanwo-Olu assured Lagosians that his government will be a listening one. "As a proper Lagosian, I believe we can make our Lagos a better place where we can improve the lives of our people. Our Government will be a Government that listen, listen and listen," he said.

Sanwo-Olu described Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as a true bred democrat, who want democracy to work. Saying he is optimistic that Tinubu would allow this primaries to go on peacefully through direct primaries.

“Asiwaju Tinubu will call me to back down will not happen, he is a Democrat, he wants democracy to work, he is our Leader, he is the National Leader, he believes in democracy," Sanwo-Olu said.

He further promised to run a Government of inclusion. "We will ensure that we have a participatory Government, we will always listen to our people. I will not be a Governor of Lagos Island or a Governor of Lagos Central, Lagos East, I will be a Governor for all.. The whole State will be my Constituency.

"Our Government will be a Government that listens more and talks less, our Govt will run an open-door policy," he explained.
