HON TAIWO ORENUGA, FAMILY OF MR & MRS ANTHONY OLAKOJO BECOME IN-LAWS, AS CHILDREN WED IN IGBOGBO, LAGOS.

The family of Hon Taiwo Orenuga, former Executive Secretary, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, and the family of Mr & Mrs Anthony Olakojo have officially became in-laws on Saturday, December 7, 2019. Their children, Adetola Morenikeji and Olalekan Opeyemi, held their engagement ceremony at 11:30 Multipurpose Hall Igbogbo, after which they proceeded to St. Luke's Anglican Church Igbogbo for wedding and later back to 11:30 multipurpose Hall for reception, where all and sundry and the cream of the society converged to felicitate with the new couple.

Marriage is indeed an institution by which everyone must enrol in. MegaXpression Community News reports that virtually most of the calibre of people who graced the wedding ceremony, without any iota of doubt, made the occasion glamorous. Fabrics and attires of different colours rented the air and the guests were beaming with smiles. The families of Orenuga and Olakojo, were full of praises to the Almighty God for making the dream come to reality.

The 11:30 multipurpose Hall was full to capacity with prominent personalities, philanthropists, legislators, traditional Chiefs, and people of works of life in attendance to celebrate with the newest and latest couple in town.

Speaking at the reception, the Chairman of the event, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, a member  of Governor's Advisory Committee, GAC, stated: “We are gathered here to celebrate the new couple.  We have been here before but left for the Church where the couple listened to sermon”.

Basorun congratulated the couple and their families for the wonderful achievement. “The couple should love each other and their parents should guide them aright in their journey into life”, he advised.

Other notable guests at the wedding include former Deputy Governor, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Bldr Olusesan  Daini, Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Wasiu Adeshina, Chairman Ikorodu North LCDA, Hon Banjo Adeola Adebisi, APC Chieftains, Alhaji Gafaar, Alhaja Funmi Basorun Osinowo, Alhaji Abdulahi Bobomi, Hon David Alagbe, Shakiru  Seidu of MegaXpression Community News, amongst others.

The Asiwaju of Igbogbo Kingdom and the ordained 'Baba Aladura', Chief Reuben Olorunfunmi Basorun , has expressed displeasure over the Capping of Iyaloja General of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, while describing the actions of His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali , Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom and  Chief Folashade Tinubu-Ojo , the Iyaloja General of Lagos State, as Nullity . Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland.
