LAWMAKER FEEDS CONSTITUENTS, GIVES SUCCOR FOR OVER 500 NEEDY IN IKORODU. I'll not relent in putting smiles on the faces of my constituents, Hon Babajimi Benson assures.

As the Christmas celebrations gets closer, another set of over 500 people across Ikorodu federal Constituency were on Saturday benefited from the monthly iCARE Foodbank programme. iCARE FoodBank, an initiative of iCare Foundation of Hon. Babajimi Adekoge Benson, MHR, a nonprofit charitable organization that buys food and grocery products and redistributes the items in a bag called ‘APO AANU or ‘MERCY BAG’ to individuals and vulnerable families in needs within Ikorodu Federal Constituency. 

The beneficiaries were once again in a large number, assembled at Benson's Constituency office in Igbogbo to participate in the kind gesture. The programme, since its inception has no doubt given succor to the less privileges, disables, elderly persons and other people in needs through the monthly distribution of the food.

While addressing the large crowd, Hon Benson, said the initiative was designed to prevent constituents, particularly the aged ones from going to bed without food. "What we are doing is to support our people and enable them to feed themselves for a while," JB, as he's fondly called said.

Shortly after the pleasant remarks, the distribution of the food items began by Mr Yusuf Atebo, Aregbe and Shobo with smiles of relief on the faces of the beneficiaries.
