IPAKODO GRAMMAR SCHOOL ALUMNI, "92 CLASS-SET HOLDS GLAMOROUS RE-UNION PARTY, ELECTS DR FATAI-ABATAN, OTHERS AS PIONEER EXECUTIVE.

It was a celebration galore, Saturday, December 21, when the Ipakodo Grammar School, Class of 1992 alumni converged to rejoice and share memories of their days in the school.

The event, organised as the maiden edition of an annual get-together party, held at Eroz Place Aga, Ikorodu, Lagos. The event witnessed the coming together of old classmates and friends who have gone ahead to record numerous life accomplishments in their various fields, MegaXpression Community News reports.

Invited guests and other dignitaries present were introduced afterwards. The red carpet session had begun a few minutes earlier and members took time to take group pictures with former classmates. Others exchanged witty banters with their old friends backstage.

In his keynote address, the newly  elected President and Senior Lecturer at Lagos State University, LASU, Dr. Surajudeen Abiodun Fatai-Abatan appreciated and thanked his mates for the confidence shown in electing him as President and others into various posts. "It's not an easy task in electing people into the post of an executive, but we'd try in our best in moving this association to a greater height", he said.

He further enjoined members of his class set to come together and join hands as a team for the progress, upliftment and development of the association, as it's not a one man show.

"We the '92 sets are history makers, sitting down here today brings back the memories of our school days, and we all have to collectively work together to be able to do more to our alma mater,  we can only do more when we are committed and dedicated to the course and work as one big family." Dr. Baresi, as he fondly called added.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
