The Vice Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. The relief materials which were distributed across Ikorodu Division, afforded the Princess the ample opportunity to sensitise the people on the use of facemasks and need to take precautions this period to avoid being infected with the coronavirus.
Speaking exclusively with MegaXpression Community News, the Vice Chairman said the relief materials consist of food items, beverages and facial macks, noting that she decided to assist residents of Ikorodu with the palliatives because they were mostly low income earners who survived on daily income, noting that the lockdown is bringing hardship to the people.
The Ikorodu born daughter stressed that government directives on preventing the spread of COVID-19 was a welcome development and there is need for people to obey the directives as well as maintain personal hygiene by washing hands regularly, and also maintaining social distance and avoid clustering of people.
Olabanji-Oba also encouraged the people of Ikorodu to make use of the facemasks, hand sanitizers and other protective kits, urging all to cover their noses, mouth regularly. "Restrict and regulate your hang outs and movement, If possible, isolate for now to avoid this deadly Coronavirus,” she said.
