RAMADAN: LAGOS MAJORITY LEADER, HON. S.O.B AGUNBIADE DISTRIBUTES FOOD ITEMS TO CONSTITUENTS. ...Urges residents to make use of facial mask, follow all preventive guidelines, as stipulated by the State Government for COVID-19.

As Muslims continue to observe the month of Ramadan and efforts to curtail the spread of COVID-19 continues, Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Ikorodu constituency 1, Hon S.O.B. Agunbiade has distributed food items to the Muslim  communities and people of his constituency. 

This was said to cushion the effect of the 'Stay at Home Order' and hard economic situation brought by the Coronavirus pandemic through movement restriction. The relief materials which includes rice, garri and other consumables goods were given to thousands of muslims, vulnerable and various classes of people from Ikorodu LG, Ikorodu West and Ikorodu North LCDAs.

The lawmaker, Hon. Agunbiade, exclusively disclosed to MegaXpression  Community News that the move was to uphold the tradition, by a way of giving food items to muslims of Ikorodu  Constituency 1 in every month of Ramadan and to equally support the administration of Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu to jointly curb the spread of Coronavirus in Lagos State.

Agunbiade, who stated this through one of his Senior Aides, Hon. Azeez Jimoh Olosugbo, urged the residents of his constituency to make use of facial mask, maintain personal hygiene, observe social distancing and follow all preventive guidelines that will help curb the spread of coronavirus pandemic in this month of Ramadan and beyond. "Hon. Agunbiade will continue to do more with the mandate given to him by the good people of Ikorodu Constituency 1," Olosugbo said.

In his remarks, the Chief Imam General, Ikorodu West LCDA, Alhaji Aredegbe Kosoko, thanked Hon. S.O.B Agunbiade, for the packs of relief materials given to the Muslims of Ikorodu West LCDA, and for the magnanimous heart at a time like this, saying only few people with faith will do this with the current state of COVID-19 crisis facing the Nation and the World at the moment.

Also, the Chief Imam General, Ikorodu North LCDA, Alhaji Lamina Eniijaoba, on behalf of the Muslim Community, equally applauded the erudite Legislator, Hon. Agunbiade, for his consistency over a decade, stating that such gesture has never happened to the Muslim Community in the LCDA.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to protect, guide and spare Hon. Agunbiade's life to do more for the Muslim Community in Ikorodu Constituency 1 and Lagos State at large.

To have their share in the relief materials, the turn of the Muslim Community and other various categories in Ikorodu Central are slated to hold on Thursday.
