COVID-19 STAY AT HOME ORDER: DG LAGOS SPORTS COMMISSION, TOYIN GAFAAR BOLOWOTAN FEEDS RESIDENTS, GIVES SUCCOR TO OVER 500 HOMES IN IKORODU. ...says it's aimed to put smiles on people's faces.

The Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan has reached out to members of his community in Ikorodu with food support and a token to ameliorate the challenges of the lockdown imposed by the Federal Government as part of measures to curtail the spread of the novel Coronavirus in the country.

The food distribution is being carried out to support the COVID-19 Emergency Food Response of the Lagos State Government led by the Chief Incidence Officer, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu. 

Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan further appealed to residents to continue to adhere to the government's directive by staying at home, maintaining social distance and washing their hands with soap and water as measures to keep safe.

He noted that this first batch of food ration and token support is for 500 families while stating that more vulnerable people will be identified in the subsequent week of the lockdown. 

Bolowotan has over the years been noted for his philanthropic gestures in Ikorodu and indeed the state at large especially as regards educational scholarships, relieve to those with financial challenges, health support and grassroots sports development.
