The officials from Lagos State Government, Ministry of Works, was on Monday visited the Adeboruwa Palace Igbogbo to pay homage and inform the Monarch, of their commencement of the 4th Mainland Bridge.
The environmental Consultant, Mr Olatunji Adesanya, who led the team said, this is just the first step in embarking on the project. "Myself and my team we are not going to exceed two weeks because we are here to study all that will enhance the successfulness of this project, such like studying of wheather, checking of soil, water, land and animals," he explained.
He further stated that the data of all the information gathered will be submitted to the government to move ahead with the project, while some other team are still coming to ask questions from the people living in the communities," Adesanya added.
The Palace Chiefs, Baales were all assured the government's team of total support and cooperation during the course of the project. "As a community under the authority of HRM Oba Kasali, we are ready to assist in whatever areas you needed," Otunba Okunrin, Chief Olanrewaju Obayomi assured.
Also, the Odofin of Igbogbo Kingdom, High Chief Tajudeen Alade Onasanya applauded the State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu, for keeping to his words.
"We urge you to involve the Palace in your activities and engage some of our youths in the community," Odofin pleaded.
In his royal remarks, HRM Oba AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, thanked the government of Lagos State for its efforts in making good governance.
" Let me use this opportunity to thank His Excellency, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for making the dream of the 4th Mainland Bridge come to reality," the Monarch said.
"Government's project is all about process which is part of what you are here to do. As a community, we would make sure that the 4th Mainland project is giving adequate cooperation," Oba Kasali added.
Mrs Taiwo Femifalaye, Federal Ministry of Environment Abuja, Mrs Okesanya, Mr Olubusayo Aramide, sustainability in charge of water quality, Mr Olalekan Akinkunyi, sustainability in charge of soil, sand and fishery, Mudashiru Ganiu Babatunde sustainability in charge of water and sand, Mrs Agbele Titilola, Akintola Jeremiah, Mr Adesanmi Adewole in charge of wheather and noise, Ejiro Samuel in charge of water, Mrs Funke Adeshiye, Mr Olumide Onafesan, Mr Amisan, Clearment Omayemi, Mr Tunde Oladeji, Mr Akindayo Showunmi, Oloruntobi Oluwashola, Oluwatoyosi Oyebiyi and among others were equally in attendance.
