REP. BABAJIMI BENSON FEEDS OVER 500 CONSTITUENTS IN IKORODU, LAGOS. ...Says it's imperative to put succour on the faces of constituent members.
House of Representatives member, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, in his usual style feeds over 500 vulnerable across Ikorodu federal Constituency, stating that his constituents will continue to benefit from the iCARE Foodbank programme as long as he is still serving the people.
Benson, who's also the Chairman House Committee on Defence, said to MegaXpression Community Media during the food distribution at his constituency Office on Saturday that, his constituents needs to be supported in order to overcome the strains of hardship.
JB, as he's fondly called, equally revealed that there is need to rekindle hope in the people and encouraged them to be proactive in the fight against poverty, noting that it is imperative for him to put succour on the faces of constituent members, particularly the less privileged ones.
He further said to MegaXpression that his aim is to focus on how to improve the lives of his constituents, adding that he will do his best to end suffering in Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
Speaking the mind of Rep. Benson, the Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini, said the iCARE Foodbank is not done because JB sees that people are hungry, but it is organized to show appreciation to the people who voted him into power and also show gratitude to the food security that was established in the oversea. "We also use this programme to create avenue to give feedback to the people," he said.
"There is an ongoing registration to join our party (APC), it will therefore be of good privilege if all join because it will help to harmonise ideas for the betterment of our society.
"There is also an ongoing federal programme in each area which is know as Environmental Area Demarcation (EAD). It is done before the Census begins. Any house that is yet to marked should call the attention of the government because the census is going to heed positive transformation in our area in terms of expansion of roads, building of more schools, health centres and public markets in our community," Daini concluded.
The Ikorodu North LCDA APC Chairman, Mr Iyiola said in his remarks that the Hon. Benson had kept his promise of being a representative for all.
He explained that the lawmaker understood the enormous need to assist the people to forge ahead particularly in period of economic hardship, "this he has been doing without bias” Iyiola said.
