OGUNLEWE’S 100 DAYS: A MEASTRO WITH MAGICAL MASTERSTROKES IN KOSOFE LOCAL GOVERNMENT. | Shakiru Seidu. ...Commissions New Projects.

It’s 100 days since Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, was sworn-in as the Executive Chairman, Kosofe Local Government, after his historic election, which he won in an incredible and landslide fashion.

Recounting his progresses, the Chairman highlighted the projects that have been successfully executed during his 100 days in office. These projects include; the construction of ten road projects and drainage systems in Abioye Street, Mende, Maryland and other areas of Kosofe Local Government areas.

He also seized the opportunity to announce and commission some of his new projects including the Newly Purchased Ambulance which will be accessible to residents and officials in all the Health Centers under the Kosofe Local Government Axis. However, this will be at no charge for the residents to use during health emergencies.

In addition, Moyosore Ogunlewe made it known that the management had equally distributed 150 GCE forms for senior secondary school students in Kosofe in a bid to ease their financial stress. It included tutoring classes for the students to help them with preparation for the upcoming examination.

To enhance the smooth running of administrative duties, the Chairman commissioned a Legislator’s bus and four revenue buses for Area offices within the local government. Also, provisions of newly purchased motorcycles were made available for service deliveries which would, in turn, facilitate easier access for transportation.

One of the newly purchased buses and motorcycles is for administrative works. Meanwhile, he narrated that construction works have also been completed in some areas of the local government while urging for the completion of ongoing projects.

Ogunlewe further assured not to relent on his oars as other major projects were underway and his administration is concerned with the growth of the local government.

While also appreciating Others, the Chairman said: “the input of the various Heads of Administration and members of staff of this council is a great pedestal that has lifted our Administration to enviable heights. I will not forget my colleagues in the Administration, the legislative arms and my team for their relentless efforts in ensuring that we recorded these achievements”.

He also added that “So far, our 100 days have been eventful, as it is action-packed. We commenced our journey by rolling out people-oriented programs and projects.  The beginning of every task is usually the most vital, challenging and determining. How well you start says a lot about how far you will go, your resilience to obstacles you may encounter on the path, and your chances of success”. 

Attesting to the development of the local government, the National Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE) Chairman, Mr Orababa Sunday, said to MegaXpression Media that the Chairman increased welfare allocation of the Staff from the previous N500,000 to the sum of N1,000,000.

To commemorate this event, several notable dignitaries including the Party Chairman, Kosofe Local Government, Alh Kehinde Bello; the Former Senator of the East Senatorial District of Lagos State, Alh Tunde Oguntayo; the former member of the Lagos House of Assembly member and Present Chairman of Eko Club, (Hon). Barrister Tajudeen, Agoro, the chairman of Eko Club; and many others were in attendance.
