The 'Olootu Ebi' of Lantan Onanusi General and the Odofin of Igbogbo Kingdom, High Chief Tajudeen Alade Onasanya, has enjoined other members of Lantan Family Igbogbo, (Saogun, Amoju and Torobiowu) and the entire people of Igbogbo Kingdom, to embrace unity and shun all forms of violence and embrace peace as Igbogbo community begins its Eluku festival.

Chief Onasanya said the Eluku festival would be used to pray for absolute peaceful coexistence of Igbogbo people. He enjoined indigenes to maintain decorum and be moderated in their celebration.

The Lantan Onanusi Head also used the opportunity to preach good moral ethics amongst his family members, saying the next year festival will be celebrated in more united form. The celebration which held at Lantan Quarter, Agunfoye, will continue in Igbogbo on Tuesday, 9th November, MegaXpression Media reports.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
