NDIGBO IN APC INAUGURATES NEW EXCO IN IKORODU, HONORS COMMITTED MEMBERS WITH MERITORIOUS AWARDS. | Shakiru Seidu. ...Odesanya, Dimba, Others canvas for Nigerian Unity.


The undaunted effort of the Ndigbo in APC Ikorodu Local Government to reposition for the good of Igbo people within the All Progressives Congress, APC, received a boost on November 11, with the inauguration of its Executive Council in Ikorodu, Lagos.

The inauguration ceremony was performed in the presence of the Leaders of Ndigbo in APC Lagos State, Chief Eze Uche Dimba, State Coordinator, Barr. Princess Oby Onu, State Woman Leader, Chief Uche Babatata, BoT member, Barr. Uche Ubochi, BoT member, Hon Nwaocha Kelvin, Lagos East Senatorial leader, Hon Chief Goodhope Anoske, Lagos Central Senatorial leader, Hon Chief Engene Ezenwa, Lagos West Senatorial Leader 1 and Hon George Emenalo, Lagos West Senatorial Leader 2.

Also in attendance were Chief Emeka Odoemlam, Comrade Leonard Obasi, Hon Chief Kenneth Obi, Barr. Nkechi Chukwueke, Princess Rose Igwe, Chief Oliver Akubueze, Chief Mrs Vivian Obi, Chief Peter Arah, amongst others.

Speaking to MegaXpression Media during the event, Chief Eze Uche Dimba, made the Ndigbo people in APC, Ikorodu, who were in their large number, to know that they've gotten a new Ndigbo Executive in APC Ikorodu, that will not only represent the group well but will be accountable and transparent.

"We are all members of this great Party, APC, and the main reason why we're putting in more strength is because we believe so much in Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. To all members, I really appreciate your commitment and I want you to continue to pitch harder, because if there is a good governance, it is certain that we will live a better life," Chief Dimba stated.

Mainwhile, the State Woman Leader, Barr. Mrs Princess Oby Onu, in her remarks, congratulated the good people Ndigbo in APC, in Ikorodu Local government, for their resilience towards making APC proud. She appreciated the spirit of harmony and urged to improve more.

"On this your eventful Inauguration, be rest assured that the leaders are at your back, and I implore all members and the new executive to work together in increasing the group and our party, APC," Princess Onu said.

While addressing the gathering, the State APC Secretary, Hon Sunmi Odusanya, commended the Ndigbo people in APC, Ikorodu, for their focus and consistence with the Party. Odesanya, who was represented by Barr. Ade Ayeni, urged the Ndigbo people to work, not only for elections winning alone, but for the unity of Nigeria, saying our strength lies in our unity.

The below names were thereafter inaugurated as Ndigbo APC in Ikorodu Local Government:

6. Nwankwo Clement - Ass. Legal Adviser.
7. Juliet Onuigbo - Ass. Welfare Officer.
8. Franca Ugbo - Ass. Publicity Sec.
9. Mrs Erunse Rita - Ass. Woman Leader.
10. Kpajie Peter - Youth Leader.
11. Mr Iruka Micheal - Financial Sec.
12. Mrs Esther Ali - Treasurer.

Also, an APC Chieftain in Ikorodu, Alhaji Omotayo, popularly called 'Educa', and represented by Mr Ayodele Hameed, appreciated the Ndigbo in APC Ikorodu, for their committed to the Party.

While responding to MegaXpression Media, the Coordinator, Ndigbo in APC, Ikorodu Local Government and Deputy Leader, Lagos East Senatorial District, Chief Peter Arah JP, thanked the leaders of Ndigbo in APC for their consistence and contributions, for making the event a reality.

"On behalf of the Exco and Members of Ndigbo in APC, Ikorodu Local Government, I greet our Apex leader, Engr Joe Igbokwe, the State Coordinator, Eze Uche Dimgba Okpetemba, Ikorodu Local Government Chairman, Hon Wasiu Adesina, the Vice, Hon Folashade Olabanji-Oba, and the Seven Councillors. I also greet all our party leaders in Ikorodu Local Government and Ndigbo in APC State Exco here.

"I want to plead with our leaders in Ikorodu local government, to please consider the Ndigbo in APC Ikorodu when giving out positions like Supervisory Councillors, Excos, S.As, LGA Apex, etc. 

"I am saying this because the last excos that was done in the seven wards and LGA, no member of Ndigbo in APC was included, and we are loyal to our leaders and the party for years. We are only pleading that they should remember us when there is another opportunity," Chief Arah stated.
