The Government of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, under the leadership of Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini, has partnered with the Dredgers Association, Bayeku Branch, and CDC Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, to commence palliative work on the failed portions of Obafemi Awolowo-Bayeku road, Igbogbo, on Friday. This was said to ease the agony that the road users and residents in the axis are facing due to the bad road.
While speaking with the Vice Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Nureni Maja-Okedina, who led the Council Team to the site, said to MegaXpression Media that the bad condition of the road had subjected residents and motorists to absolute discomfort, and this had made it extremely important for the Govt of Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA to immediately put in place the palliative measures.
“These palliative roadworks are simply to bring succour and make the road usable pending the total Reconstruction by the State Government," Maja-Okedina stated.

Mainwhile, the representative of the Dredgers Association, Mr. Temitope Oladipupo, who works as a Supervisor at Leigh & Lloyd Firm, stated that the Association considered this palliative exercise as necessary to ease their service delivery.
Also, the CDC Vice Chairman, Engr. Prince Ilara, said it has become imperative for the community to be directly involved in community building and development. "This is more reason while the CDC rallies its members to be part of the palliative exercise on Obafemi Awolowo-Bayeku road, which will take two weeks.
