33RD IGBOGBO DAY CELEBRATION BEGINS WITH 'IWURE', AS OBA KASALI PRAYS FOR PEACE, TRANQUILITY. | Shakiru Seidu. ...It's going to be a Celebration of Greatness, Planning Committee Chairman assures.

His Royal Majesty, Oba AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, praying for Igbogbo community.

The 33rd version of Igbogbo Day celebration was on Friday, November, 19, 2021, as usual begins with 'Iwure' (special prayer) in front of Adeboruwa Palace Igbogbo, where the traditionalists were gathered to pray for the town in the presence of sons and daughters of Igbogbo Kingdom.

The traditionalists prayed for the growth and development of Igbogbo Kingdom, appealing to the deities to protect the town and prosper all in the community, MegaXpression Media reports.

His his royal remarks, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, prayed fervently for the town, enjoining all to work together as a team towards the actualisation of better Igbogbo community.
High Chief Tajudeen Alade Onasanya, Odofin of Igbogbo, Chairman Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini, led Other Traditionalists in praying for Igbogbo community.

While speaking with MegaXpression Media, the Planning Committee Chairman, Mr Titilope Andu-Balogun, also prayed for development and peaceful coexistence, revealing this year's celebration would be a celebration of Greatness.

Chairman Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA, Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini, High Chief Tajudeen Alade Onasanya, Odofin of Igbogbo Kingdom, Baales, other members of the Planning Committee amongst others were equally in attendance.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
