This paved way for Arakunrin Kazeem Abioye Showemimo, popularly known as DMI, Comrade Pelaiye Jamiu Okanlawon, Mr Adeshina Sogo Osikoya FPA, Alhaji Prince Hakeem Sholanke Fowosere, High Chief Wasiu Adeyinka Akinsanya, Alhaji Jamiu Omotayo Sonubi, TPL Hakeem Adebayo Animashaun, Mr Enilolobo Ayinde, Alhaja Silifat Odusoga, Chief Alebiosu Rilwan and Mrs Olupebi Laulat Abiodun, when they were conferred with Fellow, Associate, Cultural and Role Model Awards, in commemoration of the 30th Ikorodu Oga celebrations.

On this beautiful day, November 13, 2021, the four walls of Ikorodu Town Hall was full to capacity with enough merriment, while these industrious Sons and Daughters of Ikorodu, who have made valid contributions in various human capacity to enhance the development of the town, were honoured, MegaXpression Media was there.

While addressing the gathering, the IKODASS Chairman, Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo, appreciated the founding fathers of Ikorodu, who have deemed it fit to celebrate the indigenes, which has increased the cordial relationship and social networking between the indigenes. He expressed satisfaction towards his achievements within the shortest period of time, enjoining all to be fully involved.

He further congratulated all the Awardees, charging them to make paramount, the interest of Ikorodu Division. "As I congratulate you, I challenge you not to relent on your oars. You must strive to do more and you must continuously better your best in the spirit of IKODASS," Erogbogbo urged the Award recipients.

Moment for the conferment of Honorary Awards were next on the agenda, while Arakunrin Kazeem Abioye Showemimo, a youth mobilizer, political organizer and leader Primus interpares (First Among equal) was called to the podium.

Showemimo, a man with different talents, has been engaged in lecturing and teaching for many years. He is the CEO, Savefirst Environmental Services, which specialises in the protection and management of the Environment and related matters. 

Showemimo holds a Master of Science in Human Resources & Industrial Relations from the world rated Lagos State University, Lagos. His management experience and exposure span across years is service and internship in the Department of Petroleum Resources, lecturing in Public Administration, Labour Law and Management Practice at Gateway Polytechnic, Ogun State and Lagos state polytechnic (part Time Studies) in Lagos from 2009 to 2017. He has been involved actively in grassroots politics since 1992 till date. 

Also, Comrade Pelaiye Jamiu Okanlawon, a Master's Degree holder in Public Administration in Human Resources and Personnel, LASU, Mr Adeshina Sogo Osikoya FPA, a family of Lasunwon Ruling House and a Master's Degree holder, LASU, Alhaji Prince Hakeem Sholanke Fowosere, a business guru, High Chief Wasiu Adeyinka Akinsanya, Alashe/Baale Itunmaja, Alhaji Jamiu Omotayo Sonubi, a business Mogul, TPL Hakeem Adebayo Animashaun, Alhaja Silifat Odusoga, Mr Enilolobo Ayinde, Chief Alebiosu Rilwan and Mrs Olupebi Laulat Abiodun, a renowned Teacher, were equally conferred with Fellow, Associate, Cultural and Role Model Awards one after the other.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
