The Organisers of this year's Igbogbo Day Celebrations, were on Sunday, November 21, 2021, makes a historic 'Igbogbo Hall of Fame' to honour the lifetimes and legacies of some Igbogbo Indigenes, who have standout in their various fields, with deep passion for the growth and development of Igbogbo Kingdom.

Speaking at the event, the Planning Committee Chairman, Mr Titilope Andu-Balogun, said the purpose is to immortalise or celebrate the role models in Igbogbo, noting that the height Igbogbo Kingdom attained today is as a result of the achievements made by the leaders.

Recently, HRM Oba (Barr) Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, awarded some outstanding personalities in Dinner with Adeboruwa, for their contributions to the socioeconomic development of Igbogbo Kingdom, this is designed to inspire, motivate and encourage the present and coming generation, to buckled up and put Igbogbo in the world map, MegaXpression Media reports.

Mainwhile, the inductees in this year's Igbogbo Hall of Fame include: 
1. Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, first SSG of Lagos State in Igbogbo,
2. Chief Olatunji Bakare, first University Graduate in Igbogbo,
3. Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, first Senator and Minister of the federal Republic of Nigeria, in Igbogbo.

5. Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, Nee Onasanya, first female Member in Lagos State House of Assembly in Igbogbo and Lagos East Senatorial, 
6. Prince Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, first football Referee in Igbogbo,
7. Alhaji Dhikirulah Tanimoshe Andu, the longest serving Imam in Lagos State, from Igbogbo,
8. Dr. Omotunde Ogunlaja, first Medical Doctor in Igbogbo,
9. Marian Badejo, first Medical Nurse in Igbogbo,
10. Hon. Rotimi Olasiji Sotomiwa, first House of Assembly Member, from Igbogbo,
11. Chief Olukayode Faniyi, first Petrol Station Owner in Igbogbo,
12. Late Emmanuel Dankuwo, first Chairman, Igbogbo /Baiyeku LCDA,

The event was later extended to dining and wining with the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, where the elderly ones from the community rejoiced and danced together with HRM Oba AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, to the music of Yusuf Olatunji's son, while some selected individuals were equally awarded.

Former Minister and GAC member, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe , has denied reports claiming he endorsed Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo for a second term bid to represent Ikorodu Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
