BARRISTER ADE AYENI ATTAINS FNIM, JOINS DISTINGUISHED LEAGUE OF MANAGEMENT FELLOWS

It was a moment of pride, celebration and recognition of outstanding leadership as Barrister Adesanya Sunday Ayeni, former Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) and current Vice Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area, was conferred with the prestigious Fellowship of the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM) at a colourful ceremony held at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The conferment marked another significant milestone in the career of Ayeni, whose public service journey and professional accomplishments continue to earn him recognition across different spheres.

Already a holder of the CNIM qualification and a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), Ayeni has distinguished himself through years of service, leadership and active participation in several professional, social and community organisations both in Nigeria and the Diaspora.

The prestigious FNIM honour further places him among a distinguished league of Nigerian professionals recognised for their contributions to management, leadership and national development.

The event brought together prominent personalities from the public and private sectors, including the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat; Vice Admiral Idi Abbas; Dr. Aishat Abubakar, a distinguished public servant; Abdukadri Agbonkhase Aliyu, a corporate communications specialist, among other accomplished Fellows and members of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

For Ayeni, the occasion was made even more memorable by the presence of his family and close associates. He was accompanied to the ceremony by his amiable wife, Mrs Ayeni, one of his promising children, Demilade Ayeni, and his good friend, Shakiru Moritan Seidu, Special Adviser on Media and Public Relations to Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.

Adding royal warmth to the celebration, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, who was in the United States of America, remained in constant touch with the celebrant through periodic telephone calls, expressing his delight and heartfelt congratulations while following the proceedings from afar.

The monarch's gesture underscored the strong bond of respect and goodwill surrounding Ayeni's achievement and reflected the wider community's appreciation of his contributions to the development of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.

The ceremony featured a thought-provoking lecture on “Leading Through Transformation: The Human Element in Modern Leadership,” delivered by Mr. Dotun Adako, FNIM, Group Head, Human Resource, BUA International Limited, alongside the presentation of merit awards, conferment of life membership and fellowship honours.

Ayeni's elevation to the Fellowship of the Nigerian Institute of Management is not merely a personal achievement; it is also a recognition of a public servant whose professional journey continues to reflect the values of leadership, learning, service and commitment to community development.

As congratulations continue to pour in, the new FNIM Fellow now adds another distinguished credential to an already impressive portfolio—further strengthening his profile as a seasoned administrator and leader contributing to the progress of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA and beyond.
