IGBOGBO MONARCH DOLES OUT FREE EXERCISE BOOKS TO PUPILS, SAYS HIS DREAM IS TO ENHANCE QUALITATIVE EDUCATION IN IGBOGBO KINGDOM. | Shakiru Seidu.

The Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, HRM Oba (Barr.) Semiu Orimadegun Kasali, was on Tuesday, in celebration of his 50th Birthday anniversary, gave out thousands of exercise books to pupils of the twelve primary schools in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.
The monarch extended his magnanimity to Eleja Primary School Igbogbo, AUD Primary School Igbogbo, Methodist Primary School Igbogbo, Salvation Army Primary School, Agunfoye, LG Primary School Bayeku, Lajo Community primary school, LG primary School Oreta,  Methodist primary School Elepe,  Owode primary School Ibelefun, Anglican primary School Offin and Methodist primary school Ibeshe, where various items were distributed to pupils.

The Chairman Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Comr. Sesan Daini, applauded the uncommon gesture of the King and assured that his administration will do everything humanly possible to enhance the standard of education in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.

In his eloquent remarks, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, HRM Oba Semiu Orimadegun Kasali, said his gesture was caved out of his passion for qualitative education for all children in Igbogbo Kingdom, saying his zeal for education can not be compromised.

After telling others to follow suit, the monarch made used of the opportunity to advise the youth of the community to remain focus and encourage peaceful atmosphere, desist from any forms of hooliganism, before, during and after the coming election.

He enjoined the teachers to take proper care of the gifts,  saying government can not do it alone. The King further urged the State and local governments not to relent, by improving on the infrastructure of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA. The monarch later prayed for the residents of Igbogbo Kingdom and wished them successful 30th anniversary of Igbogbo Day.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family. During the meeting held at Osugbo Abalaye Shrine , where Lantan family were asked to pay fine of almost One million naira worth of sacrifice because of Mr Shakiru Sanni's misconduct, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali , emphasized that Shakiru Sanni's removal as Olumale Eluku was to safeguard the sanctity, culture, tradition, religion and prestige of Igbogbo
