IKORODU OGA DAY: IKODASS HONORS OUTSTANDING INDIGENES WITH AWARDS. | Shakiru Seidu.

Ikorodu Development Association (IKODASS) on Sunday, November 11, 2018 recognized a total number of twenty great sons and daughters of Ikorodu in this year’s edition of Ikorodu-Oga Award Night, for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the development of Ikorodu community as there would not have been a better year to win this award than 2018 as series of developments have come into Ikorodu.

MegaXpression Magazine report that it was a moment of smile and joy for the awardees and their families at the night as it will tell a pleasant story that will motivate others to work harder for the good of their communities.

The high point of the event was the sterling turnout of quality of persons who graced the event which initially started with Ram Fighting contest which thrilled the audience and was later crowned with the award and donations.

The Chairman of IKODASS, Otunba Ganiu Olusegun Abiru congratulated the awardees and urged them to be good ambassadors of the great institution. He admonished them to abstain from any act which is not in conformity with the societal norms. He further urged them to make the progress and development of Ikorodu kingdom their major priority.

Some of the awardees include, Alhaji Taiwo Odumbo bagged the Associate Award, Alhaja Sukurat Adejoke, CEO Abitop Caterers who bagged IKODASS Associate Award, Chief Sunday Ogede bagged Fellow Award, Alhaji Sikiru Lawani Ogidi, Fellow Award, Dr. Surajudeen Mudasiru bagged Fellow Award, Alhaji Dawodu Olowosago bagged Fellow Award, Mr. Babatunde Adeleke bagged the Associate Award and Alhaja Ganiyat Ibijoke bagged the Associate Award.

Other awardees include, Dr. Ganiyu Adedamola, Prince Ajibade Odugbesi, Chief Falola Odubote, Alhaja Oluwatoyin Adijat, Chief Joseph Olatunji, Alhaji Raji Kazeem, Risikat Gbadamosi, Alhaja Seyidat Kalejaye, Mrs. Rashidat Olufunilayo, Alhaja Sukurat Adejoke among others.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
