2023: SHOLAJA RE-ELECTION BID RECEIVES BOOST AS APC DELEGATES, OTHERS IN IMOTA LCDA PLEDGE TOTAL SUPPORT. | Shakiru Seidu. ...He has performed excellently to deserve another term, LGA Imota APC Chairman, Hon. Akinyemi reveals.

The third term aspiration of the House of Assembly Member, representing Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Nurudeen Saka-Sholaja, recently received a boost from the party delegates in Imota LCDA, MegaXpression Media gathered.

The incumbent, who also doubled as the Chairman, Public Account Committee (PAC), met with the APC Stakeholders, Bibire Movement and the delegates to secure territorial native ground support for his victory ahead of the assembly primary election slated for May this year.

This was evident on Friday, 22nd April, 2022 at a meeting in Imota where the rooted politicians, the delegates and Leaders assented to the return of Hon. Saka-Sholaja to the Hallow Chamber of yhe Lagos State House of assembly in 2023. 

The Vice Chairman, Imota LCDA, Hon. Sunday Benson, who's equally the Supervisor for Environment, disclosed that the meeting was sacrosanct for Imota to put forward a common front for Hon. NS Solaja who according to him has not only proven his capacity as Representative for all but also remained a pride to Imota LCDA and the entire Ikorodu Division.

“This gathering is on the purpose of pushing forward and sustaining the ideas Honourable Solaja has for the Constituency in terms of infrastructure and other developmental agenda making sure Ikorodu Constituency II is set above the standard.” Hon. Benson stated.
Speaking at the meeting, APC Imota LCDA Party Chairman, Hon. Ramoni Akinyemi challenged his fellow Patriots not to betray the confidence reposed in them by Imota LCDA’s unanimous decision to return their illustrious son to the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2023.

“It is our time to make sure that we don't leave what is ours to others to take charge of us since we have vibrant and resource oriented person who is not tired of his people in reaching out to them in all aspects of governance," Hon. Ramon re-emphasized.

He further stated that “Hon. Solaja returning to the Assembly is not for his personal interest rather the interest of his people because many of the Leaders encouraged him to return because he has done fantastic well in the last 7 years in the Assembly and the opportunity is boundless in ensuring he consolidate on all extant developmental ideas he conceived for the good of Ikorodu Constituency 2”.

Other Stakeholders, Leaders and Political chieftains of the rulling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) that also threw their heavyweight support behind the third term bid of Hon. Solaja were; Hon Babatunde Oredoyin, Leader of the Legislative Arm of Imota LCDA; Hon Sunday Aberuagba, Councillor Ward C; Hon Adeshina Oluwole, Councillor Ward D; Hon Hammed Fagbesan, Secretary to Local Government in Imota LCDA, Hon Odumosu Mosediku, Supervisor For Special Duties and Political Matters, Hon Akinsanya Nosiru, Supervisor for Agriculture, Rural and Urban Development; Hon. Hassan Anjorin, Supervisor for Education and Library Studies; Hon (Mrs) Saidat Orewale, Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Allevation; Hon Femi Okedeyi, Supervisor for Youth and Sport; Hon. Munir Banjo, Hon (Mrs) Munirat Yisa, former Vice Chairman of Imota LCDA, Hon (Mrs) Morayo Akinyemi-Solarin, former SLG of Imota LCDA, and a host of others at the largest gathering of political stakeholders.

Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
