The youths of Igbogbo community have debunked a post spreading on social media that they are planning to protest against the Nigeria Police over alleged N500,000 bail collecting from innocent youths after arrest, insisting that the information is not only untrue but also blackmailing.
The youth made this known on Thursday in presence of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, at his Palace. They denied of knowing nothing about the sponsored post spreading on social media, MegaXpression Media reports.
While reacting to their plea, the Monarch, Oba Kasali, warned anybody to desist from cultism, criminality or any unlawful acts, noting that he'll be on the same page with the law enforcement agency to do the needful to such offenders.
"Parents and guardians are advised to warn their children against any unlawful acts in their own interest, and desist from unpatriotic character or face the full weight or wrath of the law," Adeboruwa of Igbogbo remarked.

Earlier, the DPO, Ikorodu Divisional Police Station, Igbogbo, CSP A.R Balogun, warned those planning protest, if any, to jettison the idea, adding that the police will not fold its arms to allow “misguided elements” to disrupt the peace and serenity of Ikorodu Division and Igbogbo in particular.
He debunked the alleged accusation of asking any arrested youth to bring N500,000 before granting bail, stating that the information is far from truth. He asked anybody planing protest to jettison the idea forthwith.
"The police will not fold their arms and allow some misguided elements to disrupt the peace and serenity currently being enjoyed in Igbogbo community," CSP Balogun added.
In the same vein, the Vice Chairman, Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Nurani Okedina-Maja, commended the Nigeria Police and the JTF for bringing peace back to Igbogbo) Bayeku LCDA, particularly Bayeku axis. He equally warned any members of the youth to desist from cultism and criminality.
Okedina-Maja, who spoke on behalf of Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini, Chairman Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, commended the Adeboruwa-in- Council, for their restless efforts in ensuring peace reign in Igbogbo community, adding that the Council is doing its best to ensure that peace prevail in the LCDA.
The CSO/local government JTF commandant, Mr Dare Igbasan Agali, Mr Babatunde Afuwape, among others were equally in attendance.
