As the 2023 Elections draw nearer, another vibrant Youth, Prince Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun, has formally declared intention to contest for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat, at the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2023.

Aroyewun, a noble son of Egbin, ljede, lgbogbo, and lkorodu towns, a descendant of the Gbarule Royal Family of Egbin Kingdom, a wing of the Obateru Royal Family in ljede LCDA, said he is making a run for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat after wide consultations with stakeholders in the party and at the grassroots across the constituency.

Addressing MegaXpression Media and other Newsmen at the multi million naira Egbin Palace, Aroyewun said he wants to see Ikorodu Constituency II prosper and outmatch its present state, adding that we need men of intelligence, integrity, dignity and excellent character to contest for elective positions and move the Constituency faster.

He said since the begining ot this current democratic dispensation in 1999, the Constituency have had four sentatives: Hon. (Prince) Saheed Adefarasin Hassan; Late Hon. Rotimi Shotomiwa; Hon. Gbenga Oshin; Hon. (Chief, Mrs) Nosimot Adebimpe Akinsola, and the incumbent, Hon. Nurudeen Saka-Sholaja, appreciating all their contributions, while urging the mutual understanding to go on for peaceful coexistence.

"The time is now for us to be more methodical and deliberate in bringing forth the total quality development we desire. It is time to jettison the 'doing to' and 'doing for representation, and my representation will offer a novel 'doing with' representation.

“I remain very active to honour the calls of the party, attend and participate in meetings and events of our great party and the constituency at large. I am a tested ally of the people and my service record as a youth representative is in the public domain," the double Prince remarked.

While responding to questions from MegaXpression Media, Aroyewun revealed that he has moved round the constituency, live with them and interact with the downtrodden, he has listened to their concerns and worries about the deplorable state of Ikorodu Constituency II and he could see the disappointments and neglect on their faces.

“Expectations have been shortchanged because they need someone who will think about them in the area of Employment opportunities, agriculture, education, Health, Welfare, Empowerments, Science & Technology, and unbiased meaningful assistance to improve standard of living. People have spoken through their interaction with me and that they are tired of nursing a wounded heart,” Aroyewun opined.

Also at the Press briefing were APC Stalwarts, Community and religious leaders, friends and associates, families, amongst others.
