The Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo- Alogba, on Friday sworn in the newly appointed Secretary to the Local Government, Supervisory Councillors and Special Advisers at the council secretariat in Ijede.

Following the successful screening of the appointees by the legislators of the LCDA, the leadership of the council proceeded to inaugurate them so as to hit the ground running.

Speaking at the brief event, Gbadebo- Alogba welcomed the appointees into her administration and encouraged them to be ups and doing in the discharge of their duties.

The council boss further appreciated Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who gave directive for the immediate inauguration of Local Government appointees across the State, adding that Ijede LCDA already has pile of works and assignments which requires the attention of Supervisory Councillors.

A top Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijede, Chief S. Ade Ajala, in his brief remarks, admonished the appointees to remain committed to the development of the LCDA. While reiterating the need for the new office holders to stay loyal to the APC, he encouraged them to give their unwavering loyalty and support to their Boss, reminding them that whatever happens to the leadership -- either good or bad -- will come back to the whole team.

On his part, the Council Manager, Mr HIK Buhari encouraged the appointees to work hard and learn from those returning for their second term in office. Below is the list of the newly appointed office holders:

2. Hon. Olambiwonnu Olakunle Semiu - SLG
3. Hon. Quadri Sharafadeen Gbolahan - Supervisor for Health
4. Hon. Quadri Ganiyat Remilekun - Special Adviser for political affairs and religious matters
5. Hon. Ajayi Abiodun Sherifat - Supervisor for Works
6. Hon. Amusat Olaitan Adijat - Supervisor for Education
7. Hon. Disu-Shoyiga Abiodun - Supervisor for Budget
8. Hon. Adenuga A. Oyedele -  Special Adviser on Youth and Sports
9. Hon. Owoyele Fashola - Supervisor for Environment
10. Hon. Abari Abisola Abebiade - Special Adviser on Women Affairs
