HON. SHOLAJA GETS BACKING OF APC CAUCUS TO SEEK RE-ELECTION FOR THIRD TERM IN 2023. | Shakiru Seidu. ...Says it's beyond personal interest, as he'll bring back more dividends to Ikorodu Constituency II.

Lagos State House of Assembly Member, representing Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Nurudeen Saka-Sholaja, on Friday received the endorsement of All Progressives Congress, APC Caucus meeting, held at the compound of GAC Member, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, in Igbogbo Bayeku LCDA, MegaXpression Media was there.

While addressing the gathering, Sholaja urged all to support his ambition for the third term, noting that it's beyond personal interest, but aimed at getting rank to bring more dividends of democracy to the people of Ikorodu Constituency II.

The Lawmaker stated that as an incumbent, he has done a lot to bring the dividends of democracy to the people of Igbogbo/Bayeku, Ijede and Imota LCDAs. He therefore, enjoined all well meaning sons and daughters of Ikorodu Constituency II to join in the vanguard to re- elect him in 2023.

The Lawmaker added that he has continuously ameliorated the pains of his constituents by facilitating state road projects, opened up and upgraded over forty (40) roads, sinking of boreholes, transformers, employment opportunities, mega empowerments, free GCE/ JAMB forms, Covid-19 relief packages, and many more to cushion the effects of poverty in Ikorodu Constituency II, urging all not to disrupt what God has given the Constituency on a platter of gold.

In his remarks, one of the APC Chieftains who also doubles as APC LGA Chairman, Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, commended Hon. Sholaja for his tremendous contributions, charges all to look beyond the historical background of the Constituency and give Sholaja another chance.

"I urge our political leaders to heed to the call of Ikorodu Constituency II and give Hon. Sholaja another chance to serve the people of Igbogbo/ Bayeku, Ijede and Imota LCDAs," Orenuga opined.

He further reiterated that Sholaja had always complied to party's structure and instructions despite his influence as a Lawmaker. "Hon. Sholaja played a vital role in retaining the authentic Exco list of our group, and others caucuses without substituting any when he had the opportunity to influence, remove and add his group members’ names to the list. Solaja didn’t!

"He stood his ground that the authentic LGA, Wards’ EXCOs lists the Apex leaders must be returned without alteration. NS Solaja ensured the structure of party Leaders prevail," Orenuga added.
