In a fiercely contested election, Alhaji Muhammed Tairu Amusa, Chairman of HOMAT Group of Schools, Ikorodu, emerged victorious as the new Chairman of the Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG). The election, held at the 41st Annual General Meeting, saw Alhaji Amusa secure 23 votes, defeating Dr. Mobolaji Olukoya, who garnered 17 votes.
Alhaji Amusa's win is seen as a testament to his leadership capacity, service track record, and commitment to Ikorodu's development. "I pledge to run an inclusive administration prioritizing unity, progress, and sustainable development," he said in his acceptance speech. He also emphasized building a robust media team for effective publicity.
The election was marked by transparency and peace, drawing stakeholders' attention. Dr. Taiwo Hassan was elected Vice Chairman, while Alhaji Fatiu Jimoh Salisu retained his General Secretary position.
