As part of ongoing efforts to promote quality healthcare delivery and community wellbeing, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/ Baiyeku LCDA, Omo'ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has announced the commencement of the Free Optimal Wellness Outreach Programme for residents of Zone 1 within the council area.
The initiative, organised under the Chairman’s GLORY Agenda, is aimed at bringing accessible and affordable healthcare services closer to the grassroots, while encouraging residents to embrace regular medical checkups and healthy living.
According to the council leadership, the outreach programme is designed to improve public health awareness and provide essential medical support services at no cost to beneficiaries.
Residents who attend the wellness outreach will benefit from several healthcare services, including free medical consultation, blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests, hepatitis screening, eye examination, wellness counseling, alongside other health support services.
The programme is scheduled to hold as follows:

Venue: AUD Primary School, Igbogbo
The Council further clarified that the scheduled outreach is strictly designated for Zone 1 residents only, urging eligible residents to take full advantage of the opportunity.
Speaking on the initiative, the Special Adviser on Media and Public Relations, Shakiru Moritan Seidu (SMS) reaffirmed the HOA's commitment to prioritising the health and wellbeing of the people, stressing that a healthy population remains vital to community growth and development.
He encouraged residents to come out in large numbers, get medically checked, and benefit from the impactful healthcare initiative.
