HON. GBOLAHAN TAKES RE-ELECTION CONSULTATION TO GAC MEMBER, SENATOR ADESEYE OGUNLEWE.


The Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ikorodu Constituency I, Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo (OGA), on Wednesday continued his re-election consultation tour with a strategic visit to Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Lagos State.

The consultation team was led by the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Agbaje, alongside other political stakeholders and supporters.

Welcoming the delegation, Senator Ogunlewe commended Hon. Gbolahan for the visit and urged him to sustain quality representation and effective service delivery if given another opportunity to serve the people of Ikorodu Constituency I.

Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Nurudeen Sholaja, a member of the Eighth and Ninth Lagos State Assemblies, praised Hon. Gbolahan for extending his consultations beyond the constituency, describing the move as politically strategic and commendable. He also acknowledged some of the challenges confronting first-term lawmakers, while encouraging continued engagement with party leaders and stakeholders.

In his remarks, Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo expressed appreciation to Senator Ogunlewe for his consistent support and fatherly guidance over the years. He assured the elder statesman that his advice and counsel would be put into good use as he continues his legislative journey.

Notable personalities present at the meeting included Prince Akeem Awosanya, Alhaji Kudus Oduntan, Mr. Yemisi Odusoga, Hon. Opemipo Faniyi-Hamzat, Mr. Shakiru Moritan Seidu, Barrister Young Adekoya, Prince Adesegun Fatola, Mr. Muhideen, among other political associates and loyalists of Senator Ogunlewe.

Former Minister and GAC member, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe , has denied reports claiming he endorsed Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo for a second term bid to represent Ikorodu Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly. In a rejoinder issued on Thursday, Senator Ogunlewe described the publication circulating online as false and misleading, clarifying that Hon.
