SENATOR ABIRU RALLIES LAGOS EAST APC FAMILY, PREACHES UNITY AT ILEYA STAKEHOLDERS' GATHERING IN IKORODU.


The Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, on Sunday hosted party leaders, Council Chairmen, APC flag bearers for the Lagos State House of Assembly and House of Representatives, alongside other critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), at his Ikorodu residence in the spirit of the Ileya celebration.

The gathering, which attracted State APC Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, other notable political figures and party faithful across the Lagos East Senatorial District, served as an avenue for unity, reflection, and renewed commitment towards the progress of the APC ahead of the coming general elections in 2027.

Addressing party members and aspirants at the event, Senator Abiru charged those who were not favoured during the party primaries to remain hopeful and steadfast, urging them to rally round the party and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, and all other APC candidates in the collective interest of the party’s victory and continued development of Lagos State and Nigeria.

The Senator emphasized the importance of unity, loyalty, and sportsmanship within the party structure, noting that every member remains relevant in the growth and success of the APC.

Senator Abiru also used the opportunity to reel out his unprecedented achievements as the Senator representing Lagos East, highlighting several impactful projects and interventions spread across the district in the areas of education, infrastructure, youth empowerment, healthcare, and human capital development. He assured constituents that more dividends of democracy would continue to reach the people.

Earlier in his opening remarks, Dr. Saheed Oladapo Ibikunle, Special Adviser to Senator Abiru, reiterated the Senator’s unwavering commitment to quality representation and responsive leadership, describing him as a dependable and result-oriented public servant.

Members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) who attended the gathering also gave glowing remarks about Senator Abiru’s performance, applauding his developmental strides and dedication to the growth of Lagos East Senatorial District.

Shortly after, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola delivered the closing remarks, commending the people of Lagos East for their continuous support for Senator Abiru and describing him as a worthy choice for the Senate.

The event later transformed into a lively atmosphere of celebration as eating, drinking, and dancing took centre stage, with party leaders and guests joyfully commemorating the Ileya festival alongside Senator Abiru in a display of unity and camaraderie.
