ILEYA: OMO'BA AROYEWUN SPREADS JOY ACROSS IGBOGBO/ BAIYEKU LCDA WITH WELFARE PACKAGES FOR STAFF, LEADERS, PARTY STAKEHOLDERS.


In the spirit of love, unity and sacrifice that accompanies the celebration of 2026 Ileya festival, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/ Baiyeku LCDA, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has extended heartfelt gestures to staff members, political appointees, party leaders and religious leaders across the council area.

The kind gesture, aimed at supporting families during the festive period, once again reflects the compassionate and people-oriented leadership style of the Council Chairman, who has continued to place the welfare of the people at the center of governance.

Speaking through a phone conversation from Beijing, China, the Special Adviser to the Chairman on Media and Public Relations, Shakiru Moritan Seidu (SMS), stated that the initiative aligns perfectly with the Chairman’s GLORY Agenda, which prioritizes the well-being, empowerment and happiness of the people of Igbogbo/Baiyeku.

According to him, Omo’ba Aroyewun strongly believes that leadership goes beyond infrastructure development alone, stressing that touching lives positively and putting smiles on the faces of the people remain a major responsibility of government.

He further noted that the Chairman remains committed to delivering more developmental projects and impactful programs that will improve the standard of living across the LCDA. These include continuous road rehabilitation, youth empowerment initiatives, improved healthcare support, educational advancement, environmental sustainability and enhanced support for local businesses and market men and women.

The administration, he added, is also working tirelessly to strengthen community engagement, promote peace and unity, and create more opportunities for young people to thrive through skills acquisition and economic development programs.

Residents and beneficiaries have continued to applaud the thoughtful gesture, describing Omo’ba Aroyewun as a compassionate and visionary leader whose administration continues to demonstrate genuine concern for the welfare of the people.

As Muslims celebrate this year’s Ileya festival, the Chairman urged residents to embrace peace, love and togetherness, while reaffirming his commitment to building a more prosperous and inclusive Igbogbo/Baiyeku for all.
